Need Help: Switching from PT3 to HEM Need Help: Switching from PT3 to HEM

So PT3 is pissing me off lately. The stupid HUD keeps freezing up. It will lock up and stop updating. It will also display the wrong boxes under each player's name, which makes it worse than worthless, as it becomes an actual hinderance. Then, when I try to close PT3, it freezes my Pokerstars and I have to kill the program and restart it. It is so annoying and has happened about 15 times now.

I downloaded the trial version of HEM, and I am unable to run the program. Has anyone made this transition? Do I need to delete PT3 from my computer before HEM will work?

Also, if anyone has any idea what is wrong with my PT3, input there would also be appreciated.

I have a new computer too so this is not the issue.

Going through the exact same thing and switching to HM when my new comp. gets in.

Sorry I can't help though.

Not sure what's wrong either. I've had pretty good luck fixing things through the PT3 forum on the PT website.

HM is 10x better IMO allot more user friendly and it has a nice analysis section...its geared towards NLHE so the donk bet stat and the 3b stat are cool...it works way better and im pretty sure it has a page with instructions on how to transfer hands...i just got a new PC so i just left my old hands on the other one and started a new DB...also it make you create one of those postgre databases so thats a good way to start and avoid creating new DBs all the time...its a cool product...the HUD is very friendly too

the postgre database part is the problem. There is some sort of issue with postgre when i try to use HEM on my computer that already has PT3 on it.

I switched to HEM b/c of the bugs in the initial PT3, but PT3 got a lot better this past fall. I still doesn't operate as quickly as HEM, but fast enough for my 15 tabels -- if I was 24-tabling, I would probably use HEM b/c of the speed difference.
