+1, folding to flop raise is probably best as played but not like anyone is ever going to do that

i can't emphasize how bad 3betting this is.

fold the flop - there are no combo draws, he can't really have any lower 2 pairs, you're crushed against a range of KQ/JTs/99 and even more crushed if he can have KK/QQ, you're oop deep and i don't think nits bluffraise this board very often at all.

I think I call once and then fold turn and hate life.

We have 4-outs to improve, and if villain is bluff-raising the flop he's probably making a 1-barrell play and shutting down once we call.

But pre-flop is just awful.

I agree with everyone about flatting pre, i take it MP2 is a fish so why would you iso yourself into a pot OOP with a somewhat solid reg?

I can't really imagine any hands we beat on a flop like this when a nitty player raises us, he has 99 or QQ almost every single time imo.

like a buncha ppl said preflop just shows a huge lack of understanding of some real basic stuff
08-31-2011 , 04:59 PM
i know preflop is bad for gods sake, but what do you do as played?
08-31-2011 , 05:11 PM
As played? Postflop was already played out in OP, but I think I just call flop and fold turn.

As played i 4bet shove flop, and hate me for beeing a donk.
ez game for v

I don't get the check raise all in on the turn when you could have just got it all in on the flop?

I will never understand the mentality of so many online players who raise these kinds of hands from the blinds... KQs is not a hand I want to wind up getting all my money in with.

Call pre, re-raise flop, Stack off against lucky JT. Of course, most JT would slowplay this rainbow flop in position, so it's extremely likely you're ahead.

yeah, check/raising flop sucks but meh, i'm committed on river anyway.

well tell us which version of the nuts he had already!
09-02-2011 , 11:51 AM
a player with a 1.5 agg has always the nuts or close to the nuts.
this kind of players are never drawing, and in this spot i know is +EV folding bottomset and 2pair.

if you are playing against a nit, be the nittest when he raise
and bluff a lot vs this guy ( when he's not raising to you ).

Hey hurt, I know what you're saying, but I doubt everyone (especially OP) knows what you mean. Care to elaborate for the peanut gallery?

just a 2p2 meme or close to it, "when JT makes the nuts, fold" or "when JT makes the nuts, they have it" or w/e.

i did think JTs was by far his most likely hand though. JTs is 4 combos, 99 is only 3 and might not raise, QQ/KK only 1 each and downweighted because of preflop.
09-04-2011 , 05:05 AM
i thought it was something like "on a multiway pot, when someone stars going aggressive on a board where JT are the nuts, the have it".
