Can someone tell me... (6 max vs Full Ring) Can someone tell me... (6 max vs Full Ring)

Why i am loosing at full ring and winning alot at 6max. What adjustments do i need to make?

03-23-2008 , 01:41 AM
be a nit and play 6/6/6 stats
03-23-2008 , 03:48 AM
yeh pretty much run 6/4/3 and you'll be fine.

Real answer is lookup variance plz.
03-23-2008 , 10:16 AM
The stats are a joke, but the advice is good.

Be a nit.

The different styles fit different people. FR may not be for you.

You don't need to be a nit, but you probably can't run 25/22 and expect to win either.

Imagine you're playing 6-max -- then imagine there are 3 earlier seats added where most players are playing a very tight range. Adjust accordingly (i.e., if it's folded to you in LP treat it like 6-max, but be aware that the other players at the table will still be playing tighter than they probably would in a 6-max game. If it's opened in early position tread carefully. If you're in early position, tighten way up from your 6-max UTG requirements).

The correct advice is not to be a nit, but rather to realize that you're playing against a lot of nits and adjust accordingly. Yes, they really do have a set when they raise your flop bet, and no, overpairs are not the nuts against fullstacks, etc.

same game same rules just ranges change, you gotta play against the rangesssssssss.

It's more balla if you don't have the flush draw.
03-23-2008 , 06:31 PM
if he calls I'm drawing dead most of the time

I actually should have just called and then called a river shove on any card I think =p
