I found out first hand on FT that this is the case.. with this perception in mind and being the gambler that i am it cost me big..

KNOW YOUR ROLL DONT PLAY OUTSIDE IT NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE TABLE LOOKS

This is 100% true. Last night I did a short session at NL100 and it took about 600 hands to book $180 or so. This morning I did a coaching session at NL10, and it would take forever to make $180 or so..like 6K hands...NL10 is 10X harder than NL100.

This is a fact

honestly OP, the fact is that you seem very naive. I like your convictions but have you thought about channeling it into something more realistic, Islam perhaps?

There are tons of posts here about bankroll management. If you really had some new ideas you could have posted about them and how they compare to the ones that are fairly comon here (like having 20 Buy-ins if you play casually).

I'm curious about one thing, when you say "the largest internet tournament of all time" are you talking about some large freeroll? I'm just curious what the largest tournament was.

I can't say I will miss you too much, nor do I think I lost much if you do not post your thoughts about poker theory.

only if that's a picture of you and not some person you looked up..

fk i should talk im tilting every which way with women not to mention poker.. well at least i had a poker bankroll to begin with.. in terms of the ladies i would never have had as much as 5 cents in my account

To a large measure i feel as if i am in somewhat of a mire given the current state of things. and then getting bagged on a forum with other flakes making believe the're big shots seems almost incomprehensable..

its worse than i thought ive hit rock bottom

Lol im mad enough without going balistic at innocent people as often as the "good book" tells me

i am agnostic anyway.. who can honestly believe one way or another on such a tough topic when there is no visual proof. we humans are not complex enough to make those kind of judgements based on heresay

just FYI, everyone here already knows basically everything you've said and understands it way better than you do. I suppose you posting it here is a good way to get your thoughts straight in your own head, but this thread is for your benefit, not ours.

no not really cause know one is making any constructive comments so the latter part of your argument is false.. the part about me only knowing the basics must be true if you say it is.. you obviously know me better than i know myself..

So I did the next thing I could think to do...I needed to call Phil Ivey and tell him of my great discovery. You see, he was playing in the biggest tournament of the year and had made the final table. When I tell him the Big Secret, he was sure to crush the final table...and maybe send a little coin my way as a thank you.

I get out my cell and begin to dial in my bud. He's not really a bud, but we play on the same site and he once said "LOL" to a comment I had when I was railing a fiddy cent table he was playing. So we were pretty close to buddom.

Serious reply alert:

Post this in the micro section. I will reply (as I am sure others will) with serious feedback. I would reword parts of your original post if I were you....though I suspect English might not be your native language and for that I give you a {thumbs up}.

As others have suggested, YET YOU REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE, this is poker 101 and has nothing to do with this subforum of 2+2. As Mike Matasow once famously said to an opponent at the table.... "The kiddie game is down the street"

I am going to make an assumption. You posted here because you wanted better player's opinions than what you assumed would be inferior comments and advice you thought you would receive in the micro fullring section.

Continuing with this serious reply.... my suspicion is that because you are new to 2+2, you have yet to really explore all that 2+2 has to offer you. I suggest you visit the Micro Fullring Forum and read the Concept of the Week thread that is stickied (always one of the first three or four threads on the top of the page). By reading the Concept threads that are linked, you will get a grasp of the level of poker thought needed at the micro level. You might be amazed to find that your original post here is even below those standards. Seriously, step back from your own thoughts and read the replies here! We can't take your message to heart or remotely take you seriously because your poker problems, phobias and "proposed solutions" need to be conquered BEFORE venturing out of the micros. In poker terms, YOU ARE THE FISH.

My suggestion is to continue with this thread in this manner:

"OK guys, I'm sorry. I posted this in the wrong forum. I am new here and thought this would be the best place. Can't say I deserve getting flamed so hard but I now understand your point of view. Thanks for the few replies that tried to help. I have a lot to learn in poker....and with posting on 2+2. I will try this thread in the micros and see where it takes me. Hopefully I didn't make too big an azz of myself this time."

However, if you continue to promote an image that is as much condescending as it is juvenile, and continue with "my topic is valid at this level".... ye shall reap what ye shall sow.

TILT, you are at a 2+2 crossroad. Many have been in your exact shoes before. My own personal opinion is that you need to look long term about 2+2....as you should with poker. Can 2+2 help you become a better poker player? If the answer is yes (which I guarantee)...or even maybe..... then chill out a bit, read and study in the micro area. You brought us a micro theory issue. To say it is beneath us to respond seriously may cut close to the truth....and not show us in a favorable light at all. However, read between the lines. We are being helpful.....when we steer you toward the micro section. But like the proverbial horse, we can't force you to drink. That is entirely up to you. But if you continue bluffing us, we will continue to come over the top.

I come in peace. You can choose the red pill or the blue pill. The choice is yours.

And most of the threads there are filled with spammy replies, mostly one word like "fold" or with some lame joke that the poster thought would be funny. Crap like that would never work here in SSNL.

OP,
Read thihttp://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/78/micro-stakes-full-ring/1-000th-poast-you-gonna-f-up-612941/

Poker is a game best played taking baby steps and all too often i see players like myself that have a great day then immediately after a big winning session they go broke due to overestimating their play and understimating the average player they go up against. (martonas is a good example)

i contend that anyone who is in my boat and is running bad.. take a month off or 2 and evaluate what really matters to you when playing the game and why you play.. serious or just for fun.

because at the end of the day its you vs the world
well said for real... i was in the same boat as you... so i took a month off after i went from playing holdem 1/2 and moving up to omaha hi/lo 1/2.. and i exhausted my bankroll chasing nut nut or calling wit second nuts... so i took a break and thought about it... and i came to the conclusion to play poker seriously... i dont recommend it for anyone, but like you said.... at the end of the day its me against the world... or me against everyones chip stack... lol
