They are gonna tax the shhhhhht outta it anyway w sky high rake. I honestly think the status quo is better. Just needs to be more awareness that you can still play online.

I'm not worried about the taxes or rake, as long as people think it is ok to do and regulated from cheating they will jump in.

As long as you can multitable I dont think games will be anywhere close to live games still but yeah hopefully easy enough to offset the higher rake. IMO the reason live games are so easy is because no good players have the ability to play more tables and you have to face them less cuz theres tons and tons of fish for every reg at any given poker room. While typically online the better players or at least ones that you wont make a ton from are playing many tables and you have to face them all the time.

Still, even if games are as good as they were back in 2010-2011 they will be very profitable. Let's face it, the games online right now are beatable. They will not be this tough in a regulated and "legit" environment.

They will be if the rake is increased by a significant amount

People will not play games that are not beatable due to high rake. This will force them to lower rake. Once the games are viewed as legal by the general public there will be more competition for your money.

I'm having fun today playing with flopzilla. What a great tool it is for ranging peoples hands with flop textures.

I dont think it will. I dont think rake will be so bad that you cant beat it BUT if they decided to make poker legal and rake it 15% w no cap or something thet would still get more than enough players because fish and degens dont care about the rake. I really hope regulation will foster a competitive environment but if they just give out one licence they wont c a re what players think.

When I play live in Kansas City the rake is $4 max mainly because there are 3 other casinos in town. In Council Bluffs\Omaha they charge $6 max bcuz they have no competition of other poker rooms. TBH I dont know what to expect with regulation but if its anything like the euro country's regulation it wont be the saving grace many expect it to be.

Yep. I'm honestly starting to believe that Lock just doesn't have any money. Coincidence it happens on Sunday right in the middle of their $100k gtd, AGAIN? They probably don't have any money to pay out the players. I would imagine this would be the case if they just reimburse the players their entry fee instead of paying out and playing the tourney through to conclusion.

I was playing 12 tables of 100 and 200. I paid like $30 in blinds and I won't ever get that back. Just emailed Lock and asked them to reimburse me for my blinds LOL, which 'm sure they won't do. That doesn't even account for the big hand I was in that I was going to win and my expected WR from EP, MP and LP.
