Villain is 15/11/2.4 winning at $400NL. 3bet 3.6%. Raise cbet 1 of 11. I've seen him call in position preflop with 87s and flat call a nut straight.

I find it hard to fold to the raise on the flop. I know he's saying he's got a set, and I know I'm meant to fold an overpair there. That's why it makes a lot of sense for him to raise. So I figure he can do that with some nice draws, and obviously it's also possible he's doing this with a Queen.

At this point I'm expecting his turn play to tell me whether he has a draw or a set.

On the river, I'm obviously concerned that he might have a queen, but I bet for the sake of aggression with the intention of folding to even a minraise. At this point I'm hoping to get called by pairs from 88 to JJ.

check river. there is no way he's calling with worse because the hands you're targeting aren't in his range. i don't think you're beaten here unless it's Qxss but there's just no value.

If you were betting to induce then ok but betting with the intention of folding to a raise is terrible. std is to c/c
