200NL: interesting spot with QQ on flop 200NL: interesting spot with QQ on flop

No stats or reads on villain, but his 1/2 stack size, limp/call UTG+1 pf and check raise AI on the flop made me weight his range here more towards draws (maybe a draw w/over cards like AKc). Still I am wondering, considering the action, if this is an automatic call on the flop when he shoves or if I should expect to see him play AA/KK or a set in this way. (Still a smaller portion of his range IMO).

It's $70 more into like 12 thousand. You call.

It's about 70 to win 200.
His range isn't just 33,22,88. He could have a FD or a lower PP that the one you have since he's not full stacked and so probably a fish.

I would call this all day, everyday.

Why would you think that he might close the action pre-flop OOP, 4-way, with AA!?

Based solely on your brief analysis here, and your stack size, I'd suggest you move down stakes for the time being. That sounds harsh, but it's probably sound advice.

I had just lost a hand prior to this one and my auto-reload had not yet taken effect. That's the only reason I started this hand with an odd stack size. I am asking IF I should be concerned that he'd play AA/KK or a set like this, not saying that I think he would (if that is more clear).

Sure he might, he's a half stacking unknown. And he might also play 99-QQ this way, or clubs, or maybe top pair, or god knows what else. And you are getting a great price. Call.

If you're asking the question, then you are not ready for NL200.

Even the biggest fish are flatting here with AA so rarely that it makes it's a negligible part of their range.

I'll elaborate as my response above appears rude.

Pre-flop: Most posters here would prefer a re-raise pre.

Flop: UTG+1's line looks more like a set to me, than a draw as you suggest. However, you don't really want to worry too much about a set from a half-stacker in a raised pot (although the fact that the flop is multi-way increases those chances.) You can expect to see all sorts of crap here- although the likelihood of AA is very unlikely even from the biggest of fish.

His range is wide enough, that your odds are too attractive to fold.

Thanks for all of the advice guys. I did call and he showed up w/K6 clubs. I won the hand and made a note.
