LOL @ value.
LOL @ thinking he bets 3 streets and calls it off with worse when you jam the river after getting MAX value.

LOLOL
+1 to jessyj. looks very strong when he bombs the river.

Don't like your game plan of not shoving to a jack river since he might not even cbet 2nd pair on turn. Seems too much like scared poker to me. Looks like set of jacks or AQ to me but since you never showed aggression he could be doing this with a lot of hands you still beat so I'd call hoping to see AT or something random like that since it was bvb pre its possible. I think best play would be to raise flop or turn.

Also blind versus blind hes going to be widening his 4bet range so I think not 3betting in that spot is just silly unless you have reads hes the type of player who raise folds even in light spots.

Sigh. You're supposed to POP EM ON THE RIVER. That's 100% why you lost this hand.

The problem starts with not using HUD
03-03-2010 , 01:56 PM
Ya I have no idea why someone would play online even semi seriously without a hud... I love it when the answer is "I dont need a hud with a bunch of numbers, I can play without it"

Dude your playing 200nl so buy HEM its like $80

Now on to the hand... You tell us your plan but you tell us NOTHING about the player!!! OK you dont use a hud... but if your not using a hud you better be paying attention to how the players are playing. This thread is 100% useless without knowing who the villain is and how he plays. Against some villains I fold 33 here and against others AA is a snap call but without any info this is pointless. Fold now obv

Also to the link someone posted about live players.... From MY PERSONAL experiance 99% of live players are awful (I play 1/2, 2/5, and 5/10 fwiw) and have yet to play vs someone who I felt had an edge on me with one exception; my roommate, who is an online player

I get what your saying about the HUD im just not the type to really care about using it. Frankly im to lazy to learn how to and i dont want a bunch of random sheit on my screen. I only play 2-4 tables of 200nl at a time so after sitting for 30mins to an hour i have a pretty good understanding of how people play. Especially a few regs that i have a good idea of their agression and 3 betting c betting and all that good stuff.

As far as this hand goes, all i was saying is that he fires 2 barrels then the second queen comes and he fires a 3rd time. I should have folded i just wanted to know if someone plays it differently, to be honest i think i lost the minimum.

Lets say i raise his flop bet to $25-30 and he flats. Then he checks turn and i fire 45-70 then he shoves all in... can we really fold on such a dry board?

[ ]calling preflop gets max value
[ ]not raising flop gets max value

+1

Maybe even throw in the odd fold pre-flop from time to time to balance your range.

Try playing less tables.

Less than one.
