This is 6max , I prefer the advice of people here tho if u don't mind.
Villain is 25/18 multitabler, pretty standard TAG leaning toward the aggressive side.

Full Tilt Poker $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked

CO: $95.60
BTN: $219.60
SB: $320.65
BB: $200.00
Hero (UTG): $250.25
MP: $203.00

Pre Flop: Hero is UTG with A K
Hero raises to $8, 2 folds, BTN calls $8, 2 folds

Flop: ($19.00) T 4 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $14, BTN calls $14

Turn: ($47.00) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $37, BTN calls $37

River: ($121.00) A (2 players)
Hero bets $40, BTN raises to $160.60 all in, Hero ?

River bet I was unsure about, I didn't want him checking behind with 66-99 or Tx. I decided to make a value/blocking bet that might get called by worse hands for value (as I don't see them calling a large bet), but also is cheaper to fold if he shoves a better hand.

Do you think this is flawed thinking and what is your river line? Also as played do u call this?

Wow he has SUPER nothing here. Call, and ship the loots.

don't like this spot much for a second barrel against a competent player; it's a very blatant spot for ace high to fire again with the wheel draw but it also adds straight draws (to better straights) to many pairs in his range while actually improving some of his hands to two pair/set/straight

river spot is pretty ****ed because you induced action without knowing what you're inducing

I'd rather c/c or bet the river much bigger
03-28-2008 , 07:21 PM
i'd lean towards c/c river as he's not calling anything that's worst than a pair of aces here.

meh..this screams of a missed flush draw to me. If he had a set, he should have raised on the flop or turn to protect against the flush draw. I call his river shove.

once you bet $40 into $120 you HAVE to call the river
03-28-2008 , 08:31 PM
I would never bet $40 here if I'm not snap-calling a shove.

You can also c/c if you don't want to deal with this.

As played, call bc FK YOU THATS WHY.

Hate the double barrel, as played gogogo bluff-catch the river i.e. c/c
03-29-2008 , 05:14 AM
y'all are nuts
03-29-2008 , 05:27 AM
Looks a lot stronger than a missed draw to me, but your river bet is just asking to get raised.

horrible board to double barrel btw.
