Looking for opinions on my best options in the following hand:

Full table, 10 players, $2/5 live home game.

Hero $400
Villain $300

Villain is new to the table, this is his first hand. He sits directly to my left and puts in a $15 straddle. I pick up 88, 4 players call $15, I call $15, Villain makes it $65, folds around to me.

I have no reads, never played a single hand against this guy. My opinion is that anyone sitting down in his first hand, straddling and raising ~20% of his stack seems ready to gamble. This is a regular game, and is notoriously loose.

I feel that 88 should be ahead of this range.
