I've been at the table for about 400 hands, I'm up about $300 and have been playing very loose (51% vpip), and UTG has been 18.93/5.05/1.64 there for 130 hands, is up $30. On this hand, specifically, I'm wondering if I should have played differently after the river -- but other criticisms are also welcome.

Raise preflop- if you have this kinda image you want to use it! By just calling you're not building the pot with your good hands.

Flop- If they can call an overbet here good! No prob here.

Turn- I raise more on the turn. at least $27 prolly more like 30.

River- I don't overbet often but clearly you do. If it gets called by worse then I guess this works for you and your image. A stronger hand is going to raise and with your Loose style you're prolly getting paid off by a K here or a flush.

Hand is basically standard and I'm not too sure what the question is?

Raise preflop... why are you raising the turn? What is your river action if the board doesn't pair?

What would you have done if Villain had shoved turn after your rereraise? Both straight and flush draws hit on the turn, so I don't think the raise is such a good idea.

Your river overbet is interesting. Only realistic hand that crushes you is KQ (which you'll stack off to regardless). Everything else might feel coerced to call as they think you're pulling a desperate bluff. The only thing that makes me dislike it is that you'll occasionally have to do the same with air & marginal hands in order to balance your range. I think you maximize your range here with a 3/4 pot bet.

Raising the turn is sick good whether you realize it or not OP. I might not have thought of it, but this is definitely the best play given the stack sizes.

Raising the turn:
- Gets value from 444, two pair, pair + flush draw, pair + straight draw
- May shut down low flushes and straights so we can check behind a missed river
- Builds a bigger pot IP for when we do boat up
- Still leaves room for us to boat mine against a three-bet

First, thanks to all four of you for the criticism. I posted the hand because UTG turned over AK, and I was left wondering if I could have made more from the hand. I realize that when I play loose like this, maximizing return on the hands where I actually have something is critical.

* Regarding raising preflop: I had been limping in on a LOT of hands and then folding to flop bets when I didn't have anything, so I felt raising pre-flop would have given away the fact that I actually had something. Because of my image, I also felt there was a good chance that anybody with a hand was going to raise me pre-flop.

* Hand is standard, so what's the question: UTG turned over AK, so I did win the hand, but I was left wondering if I could have extracted more out of him. I think I was too worried about QQ or KQ.

* If he shoved after my turn raise, I would have laid it down knowing he either had AhJh or was running a great bluff. I don't think there are any two other hearts he could have played since the KhQh are already on the board.
