Was quite sore from my move and it took about 7 holes to get loose and back to swinging good. Was even on the back playing the 18th. It's a 90 degree dogleg at about 230 but you can cut the corner. I was hitting 4 iron off the tee so well today I stayed with it. Then I am hitting 6 iron lay-up and hook the ****ing thing OB and make a double.

I played it last year. Course it pretty straight forward. The waste areas left and right are more than playable. Chances are no matter where you hit it you are going to find it and be able to hit it again. Greens are some of the fastest you will ever see. When I played it they were freshly sanded but they still rolled at 11.5-12.

If you putt well you will score well. Also practice your ground game around the greens. Donald Ross so greens fall off on all sides and it's tightly mowed.

Edit: Also watch your lines of off the tee. You get plenty of roll with your tee shots and it's fairly easy to run through the fairway and in the waste area on the holes where the fairway is angled. 18 is a perfect example of this.

42-45-87. No birdies, 4 double bogeys. 71.4/130/6,393 yards

A hodgepodge of good shots and bad shots. Again able to keep it play off the tee (except for a **** you driver on 18 that was just to the treeline). A few duffs, some wildly inaccurate irons, miserable chipping. Putter started out hot but went haywire on the second nine.

Tournament at Innisbrook Copperhead on Saturday. I think we play it at only 6500y or so. I need to find a consistent ball off the tee. Leaning towards the 2i or 4i.

+3 for four holes, then the thunder came and that was that.

Much more what I would call my usual game. Kept it in play, irons were reasonably consistent, chipped and putted OK but not great.

85 in a strong southerly and fairly wet course.

Didn’t putt great but ball striking was epic. Lots of really crafty low bullets.

It really is remarkable how much the slope of a course affects your score. I shot 97 yesterday on a 6800 yard slope 141 course. This morning on 6600 yards (prolly less) 121 slope dropped a 83. I struck the ball much better off the tee today but basically everything else was the same feel.

41-45-86. No birdies, 1 double, 1 triple. 70.6/131/6292 yards

Lost the chipping on the back, didn't putt well either. Ball striking meh. Did have a few really good shots though. Favorite was on a short par 4, pulled wedge into greenside bunker front left, shortsided. Green very sloped right to left and back to front. Hit bunker shot a little thin across the green, it stopped just before the fringe. Slowly trickled back all the way across the green and nearly dropped for a most unlikely birdie.

it's an old school (100 year old) quirky course. tight tree-lined fairways. four of the par 4s and one of the par 5s are 3w or 2h tee shots. i had a total of three full swing shots with clubs between 8i-PW (one of those was off a par 3 tee), the rest were longer irons or wedges because i was punching out of the trees or having to hit long club approaches.

Tourney at Innisbrook Copperhead. When you miss the greens in the wrong spot you are gonna have 30 feet coming back. Only hit 5 greens, irons were just ****. Pulled everything right of the green all day long.

45-45-90. No birdies, 3 doubles, 1 triple. 70.4/135/6,205 yards

Second time I've played Pilgrim's Run north of Grand Rapids this season. Really a nice course, highly recommend a stop if you're ever headed to northern Michigan from Chicago, Detroit or Grand Rapids.

So inconsistent. Hit some really nice shots, hit some real clunkers. Pitching and chipping was mostly good. Putter was so-so.

42-41-83. No birdies, 2 double bogeys.

Iron game is finally coming around, not flipping makes a big difference. Putter was ass today. Hit a couple lousy 3 woods and a poor driver but most damage was on the greens.

+6 thru 10 when the skies opened up.

Giving myself the birdie on 10. Hit 7i from 179 to 2 feet when it started pouring out.

Not upset in the slightest. Destroyed an ankle this afternoon and tried to tough it out with a brace.

That was a stupid ****ing idea.

80 (par 72) from 6400, 70.8/130. Two birds.

Bookended it with a double-double-bogey start, bogey-double finish. Played 4 thru 16 in even par, which has to be a record for me in some capacity.

Course was basically not playable because it was so wet. I walked 9 and it took me nearly 2 hours because it was so bad. Plus having to stop and get water slowed me down too. I lost 3 balls where it plugged and I could never find it. Just dropped where I thought it landed and moved on.

Now my iron play is failing me, leaving me with basically nothing good with my game right now. Perfect timing with 3 tournament rounds next week.

One interesting thing I have never seen this bad is how much the ball jumps when it is wet and your club face catches water between it and the ball. I was a solid 1 1/2 clubs longer today.

2 new wedges in the bag, hadn't swung them even once. chipped 3 times on the 7th hole, doubled the 10th, and 3-putted from the fringe on 15 from about 25 feet. gonna go low sooner or later.

Although it was on a par 33 (4 par 3's, 4 par 4's and 1 par 5). One of our par 5's was converted to a par 3 because of the recent rain. Made 5 consecutive 3's going par, birdie, par, birdie, par.

This morning pulled a 90 after a laughable start (51-39). Parred 8 thru 13 in a row. If we were playing for $ I would certainly think I got hustled if I was playing against me.

Lost 4 balls off the tee on the first 8 holes. No idea what was happening until the par 3 181 yard 8th. Hit a beautiful high drawing 6 iron to 20 feet. And then like that I had found my swing.
