I played it last year. Course it pretty straight forward. The waste areas left and right are more than playable. Chances are no matter where you hit it you are going to find it and be able to hit it again. Greens are some of the fastest you will ever see. When I played it they were freshly sanded but they still rolled at 11.5-12.
If you putt well you will score well. Also practice your ground game around the greens. Donald Ross so greens fall off on all sides and it's tightly mowed.
Edit: Also watch your lines of off the tee. You get plenty of roll with your tee shots and it's fairly easy to run through the fairway and in the waste area on the holes where the fairway is angled. 18 is a perfect example of this.
