Played first time at the course I got season long ticket for 530 eurodollars. Two courses. Pretty good condition considering


43-49 = 92, one birdie. Quit a few bad shots but reality is there will be some at least on most rounds I guess. Hit the range today and had fun trying different things out. Think I´ve had the blade closed again, friend pointed it out and had the same problem last spring. Other things not on point obv too but try to piece it together.

Yeah and the trees make cutting it not really an option. There is a line but it takes 280 yard carry. If you hit the ball straight you hit the hazard at 260 yards, pretty much forces a 200-220 yard tee shot. Not a huge fan but I butchered it. The separation in the fairway is a 20-30 foot tall gully

Not a big fan of layout of that hole for sure.

I got on in 2 once and only because I hit too much draw on the tee shot, barely missed the tree and managed to stop 1 yard from the end of the fairway and still had like 240 in. Silly hole for sure.

I had a ton of good looks at birdie and only made one of em. The other was a bomb from the fringe that I wouldn't call a good look.

After posting the round the handicap trended down 0.8.

Damn that is some solid playing as of late.

Got in 9 after work, didn't keep score. Greens had been punched so they were unpredictable. A little rusty after a week and a half off but who cares, the sun was out and it was almost 70 degrees. Playing an event this weekend, could be ugly.

Messed around with a change to how I chip and pitch, seemed like it has a lot of potential to improve my short game. We'll see how it goes this weekend under "pressure".

Also managed to sink a 25ft. Birdie putt. Maybe practicing is starting to pay off...

Got a group of 6 or 7 guys I am playing with tomorrow, should be fun and I think everyone is actually a single digit handicap which is cool.(I have no issue playing with anyone even if they suck, just don't get a chance to play with all good players that often.)

I play someone who is a couple shots better than me. Also my usual Sunday game at least one is usually better than me. It's fun playing with people that can score.

Have a charity scramble on Sunday afternoon for my son's school. Apparently we recruited our teaching pro from the club. Should be fun.

Two man scramble, shot 79. Probably our worst score ever in this event. Conditions were perfect, too, other than the greens having been punched a couple weeks ago. Worst ball striking day in a long time and short game was awful too.

Went out on my own a hit a couple of ball when I had to wait on the guys in front. Half past one on a Sunday and there's no one out there after me.

45+47=92

Again hit the ball pretty well but couldn't make putts and chipping was often either heavy or sculled.

Ball striking was more consistent than yesterday, but the short game was brutal. Hit it in 5 bunkers, resulting in zero greens (and ldo zero up and downs). 5 three putts. Touch did improve later in the round, early the lags were coming up way short. Still, didn't make a thing. The lone birdie was a 2 putt.

-15 57 - 4 man scramble. We won the scorecard playoff.

Out handicaps are 8,9,10, last one like 30ish. We might have used about 3-4 shots of our D player.

There is two driveable par 4's on the course the way the wind was going today. One of em we started on so I wasn't too warmed-up yet. Put it on the fringe but we couldn't make it. The other was a 275y carry and I splashed down about 5 yards short.

Now the fun stuff....

We are getting in our cart off of the 3rd green (par 3) and something hits right next to us. I thought it was a pine cone. Nope.. ****stick hit before we got to our cart and was <1 foot from hitting my passenger. They said nothing.

Next hole 340ish par 4 dead against a 20 mph wind. We are on the right side of fairway waiting for green to clear. Ball goes about 30 yards past us on the left edge of fairway, they say nothing. Next guy hits and lands about 15 yards short of us and rolls to about 5 yards away, they say nothing.

You would think they would drive up and apologize or something. Nothing. They never drove up to tee box when waiting the rest of the day.

WTF are some people thinking?

I golfed so so so bad yesterday, 95 with like 5 3 putts. Going back to the basics on the range before we get too far into the season

Totally misread this at first. I thought you were saying the ball landed next to you as you were leaving the green on the 340 yard hole into the wind, was like you should say nice shot if he hit it 330 into the wind.

I would be pissed too if someone hit into me like that more than once with out as much as a fore. People suck

short game was good for me, got up and down 5 times (Dr.'s practice routine is helping).

Driver was totally broken...led to all 5 doubles. Would have broken 80 if I left it in the bag.

Best part of the round was I rebounded from a terrible 4 hole stretch (+7 on holes 11-14) and finished with 4 straight pars. I was really proud of myself for bringing it around and not melting down.

For the 1st time I'm keeping a handicap. I'm using the golf Canada app because it is included in my club membership. So far (3 rounds of 18 and 8 rounds of 9 )my "handicap factor" for the year is 9.6. I have no idea how that is calculated or what it means because 82 is my best round of 18 and 41 is my best round of 9. Can anyone explain this to me?

45-44-89 on my second round of the year.

Felt not bad. Driving the ball well. Irons and wedges not sharp yet, no doubt.

Not many people out there had a nice leisurely 2 hr 15 min round. Wind really started to pick up 5 or 6 holes in.

Went back to basics and changed my swing some making it so much easier to hit the center of the face, no need to do weird **** I was trying as a bandaid. Will take a bit to get grooved, was having issues going full speed on the driver, hit a few massive blocks but swinging smooth was easy. Hopefully the distance comes back after some range time. All in all pleased with the round. Shot of the day was a 3 wood from 265, flushed it hit the green and finished 30 feet below the hole, 2 putt birdie.

42-41-83 at Chimera in Vegas, with 2+2er Balbomb, who shot a 74.

Hit the ball fairly well. Birdied the first hole, but yipped another birdie putt of about 2 feet. That sucked. Bogeyed 3 of the par fives, which also sucks - especially since I bombed my drive on all of them and then, for some reason, couldn't hit my 4 hybrid.

Chipping was better, and the putting was...average, at best. Easily left 5 or 6 shots on the course.

As soon as I get this putting down, dammit, I'm going to be pretty good.

41-44 85 on my home track; 6,724 yards - 71.4/132.

No birdies, a triple and a double. 7/14 fairways and 5 GIR. So ball striking was pretty meh. Short game was decent. First round after a long stretch of mostly just work so I haven't played but once and practiced once in the last month. Game on for the season tho.

Hit really well tee-to-green. Putting with a new putter today and I liked it, but I missed a 6 foot birdie putt. Two doubles that really shouldn't have happened.

Putting and chipping just need to be better if I'm going to get into the 70s.
