Hit a 175 yard drive on the 4th today (and it was struck very solid) and a 370 yard drive on the 12th. Bit windy!

Managed to shoot 71 with 25 putts...short game ftw

shot a 96 with 8 balls in the water.

i felt better about my round than my buddy who shot 93 with 8 three putts and a four putt.

+4 for six holes. Swing is very bad right now.

33 (+4) on the local par 3 course. Actually hit it pretty decent for the most part.

45 on 9 today, blah

47-44 = 91.

Good news: Have had time to get a little range work in the last two weeks or so and felt comfortable enough to actually hit 3 wood off tees instead of the 4 iron. Results were pretty good -- have a consistent pull/mild hook I need to get rid of (was in the left rough a ton, but not in serious trouble except on a couple holes). Added probably 20-25 yards off the tee compared to the 4 iron.

Bad news: Short irons and chipping seems to have contracted Ebola virus. Multiple holes where I'm in the light rough/fairway from 120-150 aiming for a GIR and walked away with a double is just awful. Also missed three putts inside of 6 feet on the back nine.

Good news: I've got my 3 wood back (and can improve on it more), and if I have an above average short game round I think I can easily put up a low-80s number.

37 (par 34). One good bogey, one brutal double. A beautiful night for a walk.

35 (par 35). One birdie, one three putt bogey. White tees tho.

45-46-91. Away game at a 71.5/133 Donald Ross course. Liked the course but played poorly. I think I made two pars, mostly just bogey after bogey.

i'm playing in a golf tournament for work next weekend. this will be the first time in my life i'd played anything other than just a friendly round of golf with friends. i hope i don't make a fool of myself out there.

i haven't played at all this season either.

Just make sure you don't take this approach with you onto the golf course. Go outthere with the intention to just have fun :-)

Played a quick 9 today. Shot a 45 , course conditions are terrible since weve been getting rain over the past couple days. Still nice to get out though.

50+46=96 for 30 Points

The wind really got up as we were on the eighth but that's no excuse.
Struck the ball fine even hit the driver pretty well but my short game was poor and my putting abysmal. Only one putt longer then three feet fell and I had three 3 putts.

41 (par 35). White tees. Stuck the Odyssey #9 in the bag for the hell of it after yesterday, it was not the answer though I didn't putt badly with it.

My ball striking has been quite poor lately. I'm losing even more distance for some reason (presumably because my swing is complete AIDS on a good day). 400 yard par 4s should be a driver and a middle iron, not a driver and a 4 wood.

didn't do anything particularly well, but didn't do anything particularly poorly either.

it was pretty hard to get into a rhythm though as the other cart in our group of four shot 101 and 131 .

plus, my dad (he's 61) played from the whites with me b/c i give him **** about going from the old man tees.

he shot a 36-39.

holes 3-9 he didn't miss a putt, 7 straight one putts.

i mean, i out drive him by 40+ yards, and i realize his second where he's hitting hybrid 4 and i'm hitting 7 or 8i that's a big advantage, he's just so straight on everything then a god-damn wizard around the greens.

anyway, happy to be able to still be golfing up here in ohio. shot a 41 (least i'm consistent i guess) friday after school also, so finishing the year halfway decent.

48 + 49 = 97. First year playing golf ( probably a 1/2 dozen times over the last 15 years )

First time breaking 100, or under 50 for 9, or under 55 for 9.

Finally figured out how to hit the driver. Things get a bit easier when you're not zigzagging all over the course. Mostly keeping things to two putts ... the game is a blast

40 (par 35). I was ready to kick the #9 right back out of the bag but then I one putted the last two holes to save pars. It might get another day or two.

Nothing but 3s and 4s on the card, I kinda dig it. Misjudged wind a bit on a few holes and misclubbed myself as a result. Oh well.

I found myself in the zone at the range on Sunday and proceeded to shoot an even par front nine with 3 birds and 3 bogeys. Then I blew the back nine with an 8 over par back. I've been searching all season for the day where I could go out and play with no mechanical swing thoughts, just a song in my head and a positive outlook for the day and that was me for 9 holes.

Nice. Would've been even better if you'd have walked it.
