Nice round, DD.

Hit 87 yesterday. First real 18 holes this year but I have played quite a bit twilight. Anywhere from 9-12 holes heh.

Was real nice course around here Pheasant Run. After 2:30 PM its only 25$ for 18 holes, a damn good price. But 8$ for a small sandwich and a water (Got me there). But still, thats like half off price for 18 holes. But it was real bad weather lately quite wet. May of had something to do with that.

Its a tough course but the thing I like is that it has some real open fairways but alot of bunkers around greens and elevation. The thing that kinda got me was that this course goes through a real nice subdivision. Houses along almost every hole lots of... expensive windows haha. And the first message you see in the cart is "Golfers are responsible for all damaged property etc." in red letters haha but it ended up fine(almost).

I suck at putting. But on cue with my iron shots. Hit 4/5 par 3 greens. And a new thing I stopped using my driver except for par 5's or long par 4. Im not bad driving but I hit my 3 or 4 iron hybrids and I hit 80% FIR with them. Only lost 4 golf balls. Ill call it a day.

Yeah improved a ton, its 11 right now, was 14 a couple weeks ago.

53 (par 37). Really hate the game right now.

44-37/81 at Centennial (NY)...same story just a different round...got off to another slow start with a 7 on the opening par 5. Played the par 3's at even and the par 5's at +4.

Got up and down from everywhere and made some great putts...still having trouble getting consistent yardage from 90-115. All in all, felt good about the round and the course is beautiful.

Finally starting to play better. Hopefully within a week or two I'll have things more dialed in with my irons. I was hitting a draw today which was pissing me off so ****ing much since I'm used to playing a beautiful fade, but I somehow managed to still hit a decent amount of greens. I was feeling a little shaky, though. Hopefully it was just for today.

noticed you said you had trouble 50 and in on fairways, most likely because it was so windy and hard to judge but this has always helped me that is from a page in The Best Instruction Guide Ever.

I just keep it in the front page of my notebook when I play and always look at it before making my decision on club choice.

A friend of mine set up a foursome at a semi-private club that's been struggling and running a ton of discounts, so we got to play a fairly nice course for $20/each including a cart.

Brag: out of the four, I was pretty safely the 2nd-best in the group.

Beat: I'm still not very good.

Thanks Royle, I think the reason I am not super comfy with those shots is I just haven't practiced them a ton relative to full swings. So when they come up on the course it feels like something that requires "feel" and I am often incorrect in how far back I think I am taking the club vs reality on partial swings.

That said I played yesterday and had two such situations and hit them both to one foot, so weird.

52-65-117 today uggg. Drove like complete **** so I had 11 penalties, 10 of which were stroke+distance. Slicing the ball so I don't think I was turning my hands over through impact.

5 sand shots out of 4 bunkers.

Hit a drive up against a tree so had to waste 1 shot on hitting it 6 feet sideways. Also whiffed on a ridiculous uphill lie out of a bunker attempt. First time I've ever had that type of shot.

Hit only 3/14 fairways and none on the back 9.
4/18 GIR

Did hit my tee'd irons well with 2 of my GIRs on par 3s and the other one landed on the fringe from 189 out.

Pitched and chipped extremely well. Putted better than I had been. New grip might be helping. Greens recently aerated so the lines were awful. My distances were pretty good though.

Strangest round I think I've ever played 6 Bogies, 5 Birdies, 5 Pars, 1 Eagle, 1 Double. 6 Three-Putts and a Four-Putt.

whenever this creeps back into my swing I always use a little practice swing trick that I picked up, grip the club with out intertwining the pinky/index with your hands about an inch or 2 apart and practice swing that way... you can really feel the roll of the wrists and build up a little "muscle memory" then grip it like usual and swing away...

...you can even do this on the range and disregard the ball flight results aside from the fact you should hit a hook because you turn it off too much basically, again its just to get that rolling feel.

Wow that is a weird one - you must have hit nearly every GIR?

3 scrambles in the last 8 days - 3rd, 4th, and 7th. Great weather, lots o' drinking and trash talking. Really hit the ball well (won closest to pin -- 190 yd, ~3 feet). Gonna suck to have to play my own ball next time out.

played yesterday but got a tad wasted so we stopped keeping score around #12. most fun I have had in a while while golfing though.

Scored 72 today. Par 72.

4 birdies, 4 bogies and 10 pars.

39-45-84. 1 birdie, 3 doubles. 4/13 fairways, 7/18 greens, 33 putts.

I think I need to start keeping track of right-handed vs left-handed putting. I missed a couple very short ones RH today.

Putting RH: 10 holes, 20 putts, 2.0 average, 2 three putts
Putting LH: 8 holes, 13 putts, 1.625 average, 0 three putts

Kind of a strange round. Fairly awful ball striking. Poor tee shots left me in positions where driver off the deck was the correct play a record number of times. Greens were punched a week or so ago and it cost me on at least one putt.
