What exactly would a stiff flex do for me? What exactly would a stiff flex do for me?

i've had 2 knee surgeries in the past 5 years. basically when i bought my clubs i was i still having knee problems and my swing was weak. so i ended up buying TM RAC OS reg. flex. my driver is a R5 reg. flex. in the last year, my knees have gotten much stronger, my game has improved a ton and basically im swinging a lot faster. im playing to a 14 hc this year. my swing speed was just measured at 106 with a driver.

my driver when its on i hit a low fade. however often it is out of control with some serious spraying issues. however i think this is mostly a problem with me and not the club. maybe a stiff flex is easier to control?

with my irons i basically hit a straight ball/ slight fade. i don't have a problem with spraying balls. i get very good distance with my clubs. my biggest concern is that i do get a very high trajectory with my irons. i would prefer a lower trajectory as it would be easier to control. is this flex related? or is it my loft angle?

basically my question is, is 106 mph swing speed more suited for a stiff flex? also what are some of the difference i could notice with a change in flex. thanks.

by the way i have been eyeing mizuno mp57 irons everytime i go to the pro shop, maybe its time???

you need a stiff flex bad imo. I can't hit a slice for anything with my driver but if I hit a regular flex I can't not hit a slice.

Stiff flex, especially in your irons, will help you keep your ball flight down. And with your driver a stiffer flex should give less of a dispersion. So yeah, def get stiff flex.

Just bought a new driver and during trying them out had speed tested, guy said anyone over 95 should be stiff.

Just ask around for a good club fitting guy in your area, get properly tested and get the equipment you need. I'm not sure if you use graphite in your irons, but if you do it may be worth looking at lightweight steel as another option.
