This last post got me thinking how beneficial it would be to videotape ones putting.

A lot of good information in that post.

I haven't been able to practice as much as I would like due to rain and work, but I have been working at it. For now at least, left handed is the answer. I'm making a much higher percentage of putts from inside 10 feet. Stroke is better. Confidence is way up. I didn't have any 3 putts on Tuesday (round cut short by rain, but still). It's starting to feel "normal". More stress testing coming up this weekend, and I have three tournaments, including club championship, in the next six weeks.

Only slightly off topic: Interesting article in the NY Times about competitive archers having the equivalent of the yips - target panic.

Theories vary on how to cure target panic. Some switch their shooting hand, or change their grip slightly — techniques that have also proved successful in golf. Others use visualization techniques and positive reinforcement.

When I putt well it's because I'm just going with visualization and feel and pretty much nothing else, so that's what I always fall back on when things don't go well.

I've done a bunch of analysis with the TOMI with my coach, it's pretty cool, and I was SHOCKED to see all the bad things going on with my stroke that would be next to impossible to notice just by watching it. I've been working on grooving a new stroke with the Pelz path rail (not sure what it's called). It's going to take a pretty long time but it feels really sick and the ball rolls better than I thought I'd be able to roll it.

My biggest problem in putting is that I leave so many putts short, as I am afraid of knocking it 2-3 feet past the hole

I'm also working on grooving a new stroke using the putting arc... Looking forward to it because putting is killing me
