Really looking forward to this week. Looks like there could be some carnage.

I got Mickelson taking this thing down like duh obvious for justice on the Payne Stewart battle. (If my memory serves that was at this course.) In case he doesn't win it, I took some stabs on Morikawa, Koepka, and somebody else all about 20/1.

Trivia: What US Open winner died in jail?

I'm looking forward to it, if nothing else for the difficulty and potential carnage.

I've watched a lot of videos in the last week from the usual content creators. Would love to get to NC to play some of these courses. Having said that, while the overall course has a definitive look and feel to it, I can't say any of the holes at No. 2 really strike me as standouts or create a strong visual in my mind's eye. Maybe that's a good thing, dunno -- let the golfers create the excitement.

I like Bryson and Ludvig this week. Longshots Bezuidenhout and Cam Davis.

Certainly not touching Scottie at +290.

Morikawa at 14-1 is tempting as he's in great form and 2 major wins under his belt.

The defending champion and #3 on the money list is 80-1???? That's serious value there if you ask me.

Zalatoris is #16 on the money list, finished 2nd two years ago, and is a great ball striker. Yes please at 90-1.

Flyer on Akshay Bhatia at 225-1. Perhaps Theegala at 50-1?

i'd take the Ludvig bait over Bryson being sympathetic to a crown he vanquished on the first nine of his last round in '21

IIRC he lost in a massive playoff in one of the mega qualifiers, but that put him as one of the first alternates in the field. So I'm assuming Rahm or someone else WD'ing got him in the field.

The last 10 or so posts of the non-PGA/USGA thread covers this if you are so inclined.

He probably won't ever win a US Open or PGA again. But his mobility is improving and is right leg is more active now in the down swing since returning. So back the truck up for him to win the British.
