Have a bet on Mi Hyang Lee. She’s my favourite player so damn cute. Great swing but holy hell she cannot putt. Terrible today she’s missed 7-8 pretty easy ones . Inbee or any decent putter would have made 5 of them on an average day

It’s great that we are getting lots of tv but I have never loved this course. Not a fan of playing lift clean and place in a major either - I guess moving the event to July didn’t completely solve the rain issues.

Robotiger making bogeys and Inbee playing about as bad as you'll ever see Inbee play, door is WIDE open for Hyo Joo to just cruise home. I want to see Jin Young Ko or Shanshan win tho.

JKups missing short putts like it’s her job again

Also got a good chuckle —

NBC : “this broadcast brought to you with limited commercial interruption by Evian”

NBC: /immediately cuts to three minutes of commercials

This week the LPGA travels to England for the playing of the AIG Women's British Open. Georgia Hall (pictured below) will be trying to defend the title she won last year by two strokes over runner-up Pornanong Phatlum.

Might be heading for a Sung Hyung Park and Jin Young Ko shoot out here. Sung Hyung looked good last open until she got pwned by a pot bunker and took 3 to get out IIRC

Never really been a Charley Hull fan but may have to become one. Swings hard, plays fast and unleashed a delightful “oh ****“ near a live mike after hitting a lousy shot.

Really got herself in shape, too.

Charley is good people and plays the game the way it should be played. If everyone played like her, all rounds would be under 4 hours...not 5+.

Seriously awesome seeing the leader signing autographs and taking photos with a half hour until her tee time. Clearly having an amazing experience at her first major. I have no idea if she'll hold on for the win but she'll be easy to root for.

Otherwise I'm on team Jin Young Ko.

Also: I don't remember liking Woburn this much when they played there previously. This is a quality course, demands a variety of shots, bad shots are punished and the greens are not easy.

.

Watching her laugh and joke with her caddy on the 72nd hole while Pressel’s caddy was taking forever to rake the bunker was great. No idea what she was saying but I’d like to imagine as “take your time dude but I’m not touching that ****ing sand”. Clear WIM

This week the LPGA moves to Scotland for the playing of the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open. This is the third year that this tournament has become an LPGA event. It is also the third different venue. The first two years have brought us nail biting finishes, as both tournaments were decided by just one stroke. Ariya Jutanugarn will be trying to defend the title she won last year when she edged out Minjee Lee.

Here is my preview, and lots more, of this week's tournament:
