gl this summer.

re weights, with limited setup you have some options to keep training fresh.

retrain squat with front squat

add romanian deadlift to strengthen mid lift positions

train cleans of some kind(hang or from floor)(power clean or full squat clean)

train snatch

train caber toss

etc.

Pretty happy with both. Need to get more weight to the front foot in transition for driver in particular.

I feel like there are some really good things going on here.

I'd focus on setup as your hips are very far behind your heels at address. The only place they can go from there is forward, into extension - which is your primary shallowing mechanism. This has to happen early or else you're sticking that club right in the ground. The challenge is that using extension to time low point is very difficult and leads to inconsistent contact.

You can see Tiger feeling the opposite here - trying to make sure he gets his hips away / chest down towards the ball during his downswing (as opposed to standing up and extending early).

This video on Milo's channel features Riley of Elite Golf - talking about "The Honey Hole". This is his term and feel for flexion during the downswing - and is a really good explanation imo.

I think your next big golf swing revelation will likely be around how you choose to shallow the club, and how doing so allows you to rotate more and add strike consistency.

Thanks! Started crossfit in Nov so I'm training lots of direction changes and plyos, snatches, cleans, box jumps, front squats, overhead lunges, and more cardio than the effectively none regularly (at this intensity) in the last 20 years. can't hurt! won't do much about the clubface, though

Love this, and Elite is based in colorado but I can't stomach Riley's rates. They also didn't respond when I inquired about lessons for my teenager?

Yeah - I keep threatening to come to Colorado to take a lesson as I have a buddy who moved there a few years back and I need to visit him.

The rates are pretty crazy - though even my old instructor went from like $100 $250 or $300 now. $3k for a 3 day school seems about standard.

I keep hoping someone get's stokked about the prospect of heading out there and holds me to it.
