Even if Lorena does eventually become the greatest ever, that doesn't mean your proclamation now has any significance.

Tiger won 2 of his 7 tournaments after turning pro in '96, then won the '97 Masters by 12.

Lorena had incredibly dominant college numbers, much more so than Tiger. However that is tempered somewhat by lesser competition in NCAA women's golf. I don't doubt that Tiger dominated amateur golf more, but Lorena has the edge over Tiger in college golf.

The funny thing about Lorena right now is the fact that everybody's forgetting her incredible inability to close tight tournaments. It took her forever to get an LPGA win several times throwing many strokes away the last nine of a tournament. Even late last year I seem to remember her throwing up all over herself trying to close. Of course she has no problem coming down the stretch leading by eight!

She is by far the dominant player in women's golf right now only one win away from an LPGA Hall of Fame berth when she gets her 10 years in. Whether or not she maintains that for a long period of time is anybody's guess.

But there's been many a women over the years dominate for a year or two and then come back down to Earth. Karrie Webb, Beth Daniel, Hollis Stacy to name a few. We'll have to see if she has the longevity of a Annika or Nancy Lopez.
