I played desert highlands last summer ...course is sick! The first tee shot is pretty epic and a lot of good holes. The putting green/clubhouse are tucked up into the mountain basically. Also the last par 3 is long and tough with a great view

Played pointe at tapatio yesterday....a little thin on grass in the fairway but I would put a bet up that their greens with all the slopes they have are top 5 fastest greens in the valley right now. Really fun to putt on

Playing We-Ko-Pa Saguaro course this afternoon with my boss and his brothers. Pretty stoked it looks like a great course. $45 not bad either.

I suck at remembering the picture thing but I'll at least report back. I feel great today, thinking I can definitely break 120.

Played McCormick ranch Palm course today at 10:30 for $29....super solid value and course was in excellent shape! Greens were some of the best I have seen this summer and I forgot how tough that track is!

Shot 75 from the tips and it felt like I was shooting under par!

Played We Ko Pa Saguro on Friday at 2:40. Was $35 and not $45 so that's just a great deal.

Course was in amazing shape, played from purple. The views are just awesome out there, it's a nice change from looking at the Estrella and White Tanks all the time. Greens were awesome as well. Seemed pretty quick.

Shot okay on front for a 49, but back destroyed me. Was probably on my way to a 60. Didn't even score last few holes just played a bunch of balls. I'll post a few pictures tomorrow.

just got the invite to join my buddy up at Pine Canyon tomorrow at 11 AM for free....just gotta fade the monsoon storms that I know are coming up there. Hoping they pass through quick or hold off until we finish somehow.

Pretty excited because I know that place will be immaculate right now

Yeah, I'm jealous. Was just discussing Pine Canyon at poker last night with a friend who just played there. We both agreed we prefer it over Forest Highlands, but he committed a bit of blasphemy by saying he preferred the Flagstaff Ranch layout every bit as much. Having played there the day after playing Pine Canyon, there is no comparison imo. Not even close.

He also said he didn't care for Torreon, which was also a mildly outrageous thing to say.

One funny thing he shared was how he was two over after 17 holes at Flag Ranch and proceeded to take like a 13 on the 18th hole (which isn't particularly difficult) and shoot an 82. Some combination of lost ball off the tee, bunker on the next drive, bunker lip into the water, drop, hit it in the water again, etc. Very Tin Cuppish.

yeah I'm a big fan of pine canyon but I still love forest highlands meadow course. canyon course is spectactular views and some holes but mehhhh on every other hole being a par 3 and always cart path only and always taking forever to play....but we've discussed this before.

pine canyon gives you a lot of room to hit it around and keep it in play...greens get FAST though

after looking back through my posts the last couple years ITT, I'm probably one of the biggest free golf/sick courses slores in the valley. I know it won't last forever so I beat all these places up as much as I can!

not a lot to report on pine canyon....course was spectacular condition.....super green and lush. we had 3 decent rain storms roll through on us during the front nine that resulted in a few 10-15 minute breaks while it dumped rain but after that it drained off nicely and then the sun came out and it was perfect. pics below, enjoy

Lol yeah I'm spoiled...playing Sunday and the only place my buddy could get us out at was Quintero #toughlife

played quintero yesterday for a casual $10 tip/person to the outside guys...teed off at 1:30 and never saw another group on the course. Apparently they close the tee sheet on slow days at like 12-12:30 sometimes and then since my buddy works there we just wash our own carts and basically lock up the place whenever we finish.

Ended up just getting a few sprinkles and a little lightning but easily able to finish the round.

TROLOLOLOLtripled 18 for a 76 which has me still pissed off today. Just a series of fails on 18 that couldn't even be explained.

course conditions can only be stated at 9.75/10 for summer. I don't believe that there is another course in valley that has greens are solid as Quintero right now (private clubs included). Bent grass and absolutely pristine and fast as hell. Just a pleasure to putt on and basically feels like PGA tour conditions.

I say this every single time I post about Quintero but it's downright spectactular and a must play especially for the rates right now and current conditions.

that last pic is obv instagramed but one of my favorites ever with one of the best par 3's in the state, the mow marks on the green and the storm in the background

yes you should, forgot to mention that the greens at Quintero were better than Pine Canyon! It's honestly unbelievable how nice the greens are in the middle of the hot desert but just being up a few hundred feet in elevation they can handle bent grass greens.

Yes they have wild mules/donkeys up by lake pleasant and Quintero they are pretty funny. There was a herd of like 10-12 but they were really skittish.

Btw Sundays after 10am Quintero has a 2/1 special. My suggestion would be to take one of latest tee times they will give you so you aren't behind a bunch of people. So if I am right it would be two people for $59 which would obv be $30/person and 10000000000% worth it right now.
