Leo,

I realize you will never change your mind, but does the simple fact that literally every single person in the golf forum, whether they agree with your overall position or not, thinks your arguments are terrible make you at least contemplate that you may be wrong?

If I were to see a bunch of smart people simultaneously questioning/berating my thoughts on something, I might take a step back and at least consider I may be wrong.

No but I do agree that many believe that Tiger must win more Majors than Jack to be considered the GOAT. Why do the Tiger lovers have to declare it now why not wait till his career is over unless you think he has no chance of beating Jack

1 more Major for me and I change it from GOHT to GOAT

For the same reasons no one debates who is going to win the 1986 Masters. Once it happens, there is no debate. It's a fact.

The difference between Jack taintsniffers and the rest of us is that we realize the competition is already over and we know the results. All that is left is style points.

here are jack's 2nds from the 60's ok almost half are to legends. those same legends would still post those numbers today. They would still put 4 rounds in 60's just like they used to.

As far as depth of tour goes 41% of the majors during Jack's reign were won by either single or double major winners.

single= 29% double=12% if I take out Watson's then it's up to 45% of available majors.

I ran from 1960 Jacks runner up as an Am to 1986. That seems like more than 11 guys capable of winning.

If I adjusted Jack's era to exclude big blocks eaten up by Hall Of Famers then I bet the percentages get close. By Hof I'm just going to use 4+ majors during the time frame not necessarily actual inductees.

This might have to wait a few days tho.
