+1 for carling, she's hot and has the lone wolf vibe going. Plus she has some decent game.

Shocked that Ryan is gone. Seems like she has the best opportunity to have a real career in golf. Laying up was just a huge brain fart though.

Ryann got so raped by variance. The people she playd in eliminations went eagle and birdie :\

This is the first time I've ever wanted to be variance.

Finally got caught up, and this show is continuing the time-honored trend of eliminating the good-looking broads while the fatties don't even get close to being bounced.

To be fair, I'm not sure how much game Ryann has, but evidently her decision to layup was poor. It could have been an edit job, but then again who lays up to forty yards?

There was something kind of hot about how relentlessly intense she came across. Like if she ever had fun it would be a bonus because of its rarity.

The Jim Belushi look-alike and the big boned woman she chose to save this week are probably locks to make the final at the current pace. Not sure I'll still be watching then.

She has game. Won on the Futures Tour a couple weeks ago.

I know she's been second-guessed for laying up but just because you're long doesn't mean you always go for it. There were some pretty bad spots to miss around that green.

The show is definitely less watchable without her, but as long as Carling keeps letting the leash on her inner bitch out a little more each week it's still worth it.

The play this week was dreadful, I was actually embarrassed for them watching it.

It seems like you give these girls anything more than a PW in their hands and they have no chance.

Just watched this week's episode (from 6 down to 5), my first Big Break ep ever. I'm guessing this was a pretty bad representation of the type of golf you see on this show?

Seema is pretty nasty looking, Lili too, obviously. At one point, she was yelling some sort of mexican slur, sounded like "grill it, grill it", made me wonder if she yells that to the cook at Taco Bell as well.

I agree with the rest of the thread though, Sara is slammin!

To be fair, my understanding of the behind the scenes part is that there is a lot of sitting around and waiting for all of the contestants while the crew gets the cameras set up for each shot, and that this greatly effects the play. If you watch carefully you can see that these episodes that we watch play out in less than an hour with the interviews really take 8-10 hours to film (watch the shadows and weather changes) so clearly there's a LOT of down time - and a lot of pressure. I mean it can't be easy to sit around for an hour or so and then hit one or two shots that will determine whether you move on to the next show, right?

That said, it's not every day you see a player on TV have a whiff! Jeezus!!

Meanwhile, Sara is clearly the hottest. I just can't get enough of that all American look with the great smile and the booty. I'd seriously tear that sh*t up!!

I guess the point is that the male contestants in past seasons have been put in the same situation and weren't equally shockingly horrible.

Yeah a 6 from 150 yards away. Chris(girl eliminated) looked good also.
Also Lili hit it thin to win

Agreed on Sara

Saw this latest ep last night. Absolutely agree that huge amounts of downtime + pressure inherent with cameras rolling + hitting a single shot at a time = performing well below their abilities. I've been saying this for a long time though but many people prefer to hate as much as possible instead. Although yes, this was a particularly poor week although it was a pretty hard setup. 1) hit a drive into a fairly small box, 2) hit a long-ish iron onto a narrow green with crosswind, 3) in the elimination challenge the drive had hazard on both sides of the fairway.

Sara is still not for me, but I realize I'm nearly alone on this. Taryn I should find hot because she cleans up well, is good looking in general, has painfully white teeth, and a non-grating personality, but for some reason I am totally indifferent. It's like there is something asexual about her or something.

Every week that goes by I want to violate Carling more and more though. There's just something about her spastic snarkiness that I find attractive.

As for the past "champions", I only vaguely remember two of them and the third, the azn woman Kim, I found really annoying on her season but can't remember why. If nothing else the goddamned dangling earrings that she always insists on wearing and which whip about constantly annoy me much more than they should. Anyway they all played terribly albeit in a very limited sample size so whatever.

I don't have the GC anymore, so I haven't seen any episodes of this season.

I did however have the opportunity to work for the Golf Channel on the BB Vegas. The days are, in fact, quite long. They aren't too bad for the players though, as much as the GC crew!

The players get downtime in between challenges and get to go hang out in the clubhouse, have lunch, hit balls, whatever (along with the hosts). The crew then sets up on the next location, plans the shots, and hits a couple test shots. They'll give the players an estimate of when the next shoot is going to happen, so they can practice or warm up if they want. The players never know what's coming next though, so it's a little difficult to prepare.

The interviews were generally done at the end of the day. They never lasted that long, only around 15-20 minutes.

Most of the guys on BB LV were pretty good guys. Only a few of them could play though. When I say play, i mean good enough to play professionally. These guys were C level mini tour players. The winner, Kip, was a stick, but the rest of them weren't even close.

Pretty interesting stuff, thanks. I don't remember that season well so had to look it up on wiki. Evidently it was the second season and aired six years ago. I thought initially you may have been referring to Mesquite, but it didn't jive because that particular cast was loaded with Tour-worthy talent, almost certainly the most stacked cast they've had.

You seem like a pretty reasonable guy, and I like to consider myself one as well, especially for the internet. But to say someone commenting on how pitiful the play on last week's episode was is "hating" is ridiculous imo.

You can rationalize all you want about why it is they all played so badly, but the fact remains the quality of golf on the last show in particular was worse than the play on any other episode from any other season that I can recall, and by a wide margin. These girls are aspiring to be pros; some cameras, downtime and pressure shouldn't turn them into 16 handicaps.

Every season there is some horrible play on certain shows, even Mesquite. While there certainly is some players who are not great, there have been a lot of BB alum who have made the tours and do reasonably well (I think just making the tour is impressive enough).

For example, Kim, the long hitting previous winner has made the tour the last two years, although it seems she hasn't made any money. That means she is a great golfer, but on the show she hit some pretty embarrassing shots.
