WAT

Say it isn't so. I didn't even get a chance to propose that after you get your game together you, me, Eman and a delusional golf forum regular to be named later go take on ship, nitbo, spenda and jtrout in epic recorded-in-HD fashion.

So while I guess you've abandoned the idea of going from 15 to scratch, in your heart you'll know that if you had tried you could have gone from 15 to 9 if you had tried. That's the sort of thing lifehackers could do if they applied themselves, I'd imagine.

LOL...this was doomed from the start.

In other news, I am a scratch and I will be playing on tour within 2 weeks...BOOK IT!

I don't know about that. I think I'd take that. I'm currently a 10, of course it have to be for enough that, that is all I would be doing to support myself.

Well, really I guess I don't have one, since I couldn't cover (if I lost) enough to get motiviated to even give it a shot. My point is that while highly unlikely, going from a 10 to a 0 in six weeks isn't impossible.

I could see where someone who has been a scratch but is now a ten for some reason (lack of play, injury, etc.) could do this. Also other factors like the course they play (or switching courses) and time of year (weather) would be factors.

I'd give myself a 20% chance of being able to accomplish this if I could spend six weeks in the Haney Project. lol

jesus christ I think one of the reasons this thread upsets the better players on this forum is how lightly you guys take being scratch or better. It's ****ing tough and you have to put a ton of effort over a long period of time to get there.

I'd say the Bighorn reference is a good one. Little Big Horn.

Did you read any of the rest of the post?

I'm saying the person has already been a scratch. So they have put in a ton of effort over a long period of time.

However because of some extenuating circumstances (lack of play, injury, etc.) currently has a 10. Under those conditions with re dedication, lessons, motivation, etc. it is possible that there are some 10s that could return to a scratch in 6 weeks.

Seriously though, lets have a match play. Would be fun! We don't have to bet a ton of money on it, but I really want to pwn u now.

It would be pretty epic. I come to your home course, we play match play (best of 3)!

Finally had to post in this epic thread.

Not a f*&$ing chance. You would be lucky to go from 36 to 30.

Try 6 years to be a scratch.

And that would be in one hundred thousand anyway.

I would take a kid over an adult anyday doing this.

I don't completely buy Greg Norman's story, but I believe he was pretty damn good out of the gate.

A person who has been a scratch trying t get back to scratch would still struggle if they are currently a 10. They got to a ten for a reason...by playing bad golf. Flipping a switch wont just change that. But yes, they would have a chance. I assume that isn't you situation though and that was what my offer of a bet is based on.

It would be fun to all play golf but yourmatch wouldn't be fun to play. Come to dallas and we will all play.

Hmmm Well ship-this that does sound kind of fun but this is more of a grudge match thing and you have actually been pretty nice and helpful thus far. If none of my dissenters steps to the plate I will likely play you though. I don't understand why match play wouldn't be fun though? I think its pretty obvious why I would prefer match play (that I have a better chance of winning, albeit likely still pretty small) as compared to stroke play.

I don't see why the match play format wouldn't be ideal for a grudge match. Like I said, if no one steps up I might consider going to Dallas and taking you on though . But aren't you like scratch? About 0% chance I win a stroke play match.

I live in Charleston, WV right now. But I may be moving to Florida in a couple weeks. Grudge matches are primarily reserved for dissenters though (which you happen to be, what luck!)

I wasn't offering a match, just fun play. BO is in Dallas also I think. You do have a better chance winning match play, but that is extremely relative to the odds of winning stroke vs him.

Well heck then Einstein, you don't have a thing to worry about. I'm nowhere near scratch.

I'm a dissenter, a 27 handicap, and I live in GA.

And I'd bet money in a match vs you after seeing your swing.

Post some terms and we can make it happen.
