And then it's Jason Day with an up and down par (from 170 yards) to keep a one shot lead.

Firestone still sucks, but this is decent drama. So used to seeing the trees spit balls back in the fairway here. Day getting penalized for bad swings and decisions.

^^^ I just booked $100 straight up him vs the field at Open and pretty nervous about it, even with good value

Definitely type of guy that once he opens the gate flood of wins coming in

Also how did Day get a drop from behind that tree on 16? Announcers offered nothing but silence then "let's go to 18!"

Even tiger wasn't even odds against the field except for one year.

In a stretch from the middle of the 1999 season through the middle of the 2001 season, Woods won 20 of the 38 stroke-play events he played on the Tour (a .526 win percentage). In those events, Woods was a combined 472 under, a cumulative score 307 shots better than anyone else. Vijay Singh was second.

Apparently somebody deliberately stopped the ball so the rules official deemed it fair for him to drop where the ball would have gone. Not sure what channel you were watching, but the cameras were all there and I watched it all go down. The rules official was listening to the crowd who saw what took place. Basically taking their word for it. Seems fine to me.

just watching a few highlights...

is it my tv screen or my imagination? it seemed to me like dustin johnson's driver looked really short. maybe strange lie angle but i think it was shorter the lie angle might look funny even though it was normal.

61 rounds this year; 12 of 80+, 22 of 76+. Still somehow has cashed in $460k

The Olympics for golf is kind of stupid imo. The best players in the world compete against each other anyway for millions of dollars. How will this be any different? Doesn't seem like something I would even tune in for. I wish the Olympics would go back to their amateur only days.
