I think the wind dries out the course pretty quickly.

Faldo is making his move. Up from DFL to TDFL.

Cut just moved to even. No reason to try to forecast where the cut will fall seeing as how it's all weather dependent and nobody ever has any clue about UK weather.

Easier pin, easier wind, the scores on 18 are like a hard par 3 so far.

Haha.

Decided to download the Open app rather than just use the very well designed site. It's incredible. Streaming video, a good running news feed, very user-friendly live leaderboard with detailed bios on every player, hole-by-hole breakdown which includes history, live stats, difficulty rank, and digital flyby. You can also find out who is playing on each hole at any given time via overview. And probably some other stuff.

In Lawrie's bio it mentioned he went 13 years between RC appearances (1999, 2012). That has to be a record.

Strange rule that if one player decides to call it quits the others can play. Surprised Tiger was the first to say stop playing. You think he just wants to end it. If Your a player that far out I would play as long as my counterparts did.

Same with Watson he should say to Ernie the guy at even par its your call as it means the most to you now

Was checking out TW scorecard first two days. On front nine he has 7 bogeys and ZERO birdies. A casual perusal of a dozen random golfers showed ZERO bogeys among them and 4+ birdies being the minimum. Truly remarkable. The front nine is a cakewalk for EVERYONE but TW.

It's just plain weird. I've practically forgotten how amazing he used to be.

The detailed bios are pretty amazing I do agree. I started clicking through names assuming they only did decently known guys but nope. Only gripe: Don't like the leaderboard color scheme and it's even worse online. Too much going on. Best major app this year by far though.

It really bothers me that you can't see each player's Round and Total score to par on the leaderboard.

The conditions are awesome. Some of these guys can barely stand over a putt right now.
