So I'm in South Lake Tahoe, and I'm loaded so excuse the bad writing. **** Oregon and our high liquor prices.

We're staying at a little motel called Three Peaks beach club or something to that effect. I'm from Portland and on a road trip for gambling and debauchery with two buddies. We spent two nights in Reno at a free hotel, and Reno sucks so we decided to class it up and check out Tahoe.

So our place is a nicer looking motel that's decent, but a far cry from baller. I think it's 70 a night and we pricelined it down to 37. It's like 2 minute a walk from the lake. (Thanks to whoever introduced me to priceline on this forum) I'm trying to find a 5 star place for tomorrow night, but no dice so far.

There are two big casino's here in South LT that ive found, Harrahs, and Harveys (lol?) They're very much like the nicer Reno casino's. I think Harrah's owns Harveys. There was a 2/3 poker game going on at Harveys. As far as low stakes games go, it was one of the harder ones i've been in with plenty of agression and big pots, but i managed to make 250 in an hour, and I might drop back by tonight if I get the itch. Tahoe is a lot more expensive than Reno but it's really beautiful. For some reason the sand at the beach was really rough on our feet.

1 Anyways What's a good place to stay?

2 Is North LT worth checking out or is it just more of the same?

3 Where's a good place to hang out, because we're 22 and want to find some fun bars to hang out at.

4 Lastly, is there anything really awesome that's can't miss fun here in S LT? We're here tonight, and all day tomorrow.

1. Embassy Suites right next to the Cal/Nevada border. Rooms are decent, the free breakfast is awesome, and you get free drinks with the happy hour thing they do from 4-6.

2. North Shore is boring unless you are going to the lake. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't bother.

3. Hang out at Mont Blue - it used to be Caesar's. They have really been making an effort to draw a younger crowd there, and they have a decent poker room. They have a decent night club also; forgot the name of it.

4. Nothing really screams "must do" in SLT this time of year.

Thanks sloth. Montblue turned out to be pretty fun. They have a little nightclub. it's called opal by the way. And a good poker room. I even won a little tourney there yesterday.
