Driving to KC this week to catch a couple of Sawx games. Taking my 8-year-old son with me.

Any suggestions at all appreciated. Could be interesting historical site, or quirky restaurant, or even suggest a route that makes more sense than 55 to STL, hang a left on 70.

For anyone else reading this:

Before you book a few nights at the Isle of Capri casino in Boonville, about 100 east of KC, you should know that they don't have a swimming pool.
