Well, as said somewhere above, I do enjoy Rammstein's 'Pussy' #onrepeat despite it being 'dirty' and reminding me that I have <5'' (which is actually a blessing because my 'mood' is never visible in public). I just like its uplifting sound and its bold message

Perhaps it's time for a separate '**** Official Swimmin's pecker discussion thread (NSFW) ****' in OOT, granted how often he brings the topic up.

And all other things will never be equal because, even if two people were born with just one anatomic difference in the same circumstances and environment, the difference would result in different development paths for the 'twins'... and the hypothetical 'big' twin would probably not be happier because he'd face too many temptations, study less, marry an undeserving woman too quick, etc.

5 bb/100 * $1 * 300 hands/hr = $15/hr

$15/hr * 150 hrs/month = $2250/month

$2250 - $750 (life expenses) = $1500 a month goes into the retirement fund

Well, that's because of the 6-table limit... he should add SnGs / MTTs in order to bypass it if he doesn't want to spread the action to other sites.

Edit: SnGs actually aren't that tough outside of Stars / iPoker... I've recently got to know a PKR 'grinder' who has 27% ROI in standard speed 6-mans ($6-25)... fishes still call 50 bb isoraises with rags in $6s. I assume the field is similarly weak at 888 and there's some kind of SnG traffic there (it's world's second biggest site, after all, and there are no jackpot SnGs there yet that would be poaching SnG fish).

A problem for Dante is that he'd have to get used to that there are a lot of preflop stackoffs and hence suckouts there; but at least the monetary variance in terms of buy-ins is low enough (the standard deviation of a single game result is 1.5 BIs).

haven't you realized after all these years of playing that poker has a lot of variance.

That's poker. You can't win all the time. That's exactly why there's so much fish there.

Even those who do real jobs don't win all the time - they get sacked every so often.

Non-jackpot STTs are the smallest variance big-bet poker format in existence. The main problem with them is the lack of traffic.

pretty sure the most tilting and worst life as a poker player is a sng pro, much rather hop back into mtts

plus even if you kick ass at sngs your never going to make a lot of money, i cant imagine high stakes sngs get many fish these days and you arent going to profit a lot paying 10% vig to play against other people that know the same push fold ranges you do

I wasn't talking about HS SnGs. I was talking about those that run at all at 888 (up to $10-50 at peak?), as additional tables to the maximum 6 cash ones.

dumb question: why does SML taste so much different from bar to bar. even from bottle to bottle it can drastically change. i go from liking it to sometimes finding it disgusting.

i did that the last two years, at most i can get about 20 in on top of my cash games..... rarely see any above $20 run, and for the most part they are all $5.50s and $10

i tallied up my finish in each for 1.5 of the years and was averaging 75 cents per sng

(back then they were actually 5.50s, 8.80s, and 15's but the buy ins changed sometime in 2015, most days i would be reg'ed for a 15 all day and be happy if one ran, two running on the same day almost never happened )

so 20 of them a day adds $15..... which is pretty nice

BUT that takes A LOT of mental energy to try and keep up wth shorthanded tables on top of your cash games, i can much easier do $15 worth of online work and not fry my brain....... if i am doing the sngs also then i cant play more than 6 hours and am playing worse later in the day, i cant do as much of the online work, and overall its just not a +ev way to go

i can pretty easily handle 8 hour days without them and am not zonked after it at all

I've just looked the lobby up, and though there's little action above $10 like you said, the majority of the $10 action is in 9-man regular speed (9 tables are running, plus 4 9m turbos, plus 6 6m turbos). So it's not like you'd be playing 2-4-handed most of the time (+ decision-making in middle-late stages of SnGs is easy and robotic) or there's not enough action at peak hours. But I see your point about grinding two different game variations at once - it's difficult, especially for cash specialists (SnG regs have become very used to mixing formats).
