Hey staying in thailand now. I want to come to macau for the first time for the macau millions series. Wondering if anyone has an extra room or even couch or air mattress or anything I can stay on for the series and show me around. I will pay some money. Let me know if we can work something out. Hotels seem expensive. thanks

expressvpn is working fine for me.

If Astrill has the option and it's still not working try switching from TCP to UDP.

Is Zoom always laggy from China (Chengdu)? I just got back and it seems it's unplayable, I'm having constant connection swings between 30% and 90% and often time out or can't see my cards. I'm on a 20Mbps China Telecom line. It used to be fine, but I had never tried Zoom before.

Hi all!

I'm visiting HK and Macau next week (27-30.03) doing a trip aroung China with my friend. Online I play NL25-NL50. I would very much like to check out the games in Macau - I'm looking mostly for possibly lowest cash games/tournaments available - NL100-200USD cash game or 100USD tournaments would be max.

1. Any ideas which casino should I visit and when usually do the games open?

2. Is there any specific dress code inside the casinos?

thx in advance!

best regards
Peter

Does anyone know how stable internet connections in Macau are for grinding? Not from hotels but from local internet companies that put a line in your apartment?

Connections in Macau are surprisingly poor IMO. Not unserviceable, but definitely not reliable. I typically get timed-out for periods probably once every 1-2 days. This is internet from my apartment (CTM) and not via hotel.

Lisboa has no poker room.

Yesterday (Sunday) at Wynn there were six 50/10 HKD games. Today (Monday) there are three.

Poker King Club at Starworld typically has those limits (25/50 and 50/100) usually some combination of those for 5-6 tables.

City of dreams is the only other place that has poker and those limits but they only have 2 live tables (6 electronic ones)

Thanks, I was looking at buying a blueair but they are way more expensive.

When I was in Chengdu for Christmas I saw one of the first hospitals which specializes in respiratory diseases caused by pollution, apparently there's something like 5 of them around China now. Very serious problem, and easily the #1 concern for any foreigner living in China.

I saw a stat that 1-in-4 deaths in China is related to lung disease. Now, that's not all pollution because a lot of Chinese people smoke, some work in factories with poor ventilation, etc. But still, that's a pretty alarming rate and probably driven largely by pollution.

I live in GZ which seems to have way worse pollution then Chengdu or anywhere around Sichuan. (Exception of Chongqing).

I smoke anything you can so I blame any pollution feeling issues on that. Besides the visible aspect of the pollution I dont really feel affected by it (Again could be the smoking). I also don't really exercise so I don't really know what it feels like to run out a breath or whatever happens when you exercise.

This thread is dying... Been years since I've been active but if anyone has questions about living in China and losing money on online poker, or degening in blk jack in Macau, or how to do business in China I'll do my best to answer.

Really? I found the smog suffocating in Chengdu...especially during summer. Since it's geographically in a basin, it just collects and doesn't blow anywhere. I live in Zhaoqing...about a 1.5 hour bus ride...lets meet up sometime
