I'm looking into going to Odessa over the summer and was wondering if anyone knew how the poker scene looks like.

Hi,

was a frequent player in Odessa. They had four card rooms.
The main one was pokerland http://www.pokerlandclub.com/
where games were 1-2 UAH, 5-5 UAH 60BB minstack, 5-10 UAH 50 BB minstack
and sometimes VIP 25-25 UAH, 80 BB minstack, sometimes dealer choice PLO/NLHM

I called last week and while they answer the phone, they say the room is closed (political decision for entire city or 'Oblast') as Ilyichevsk ALL-IN poker club 30 km from Odessa also closed now.

The other main room was Admiral on Ekaterinskaia and they had transformed into a casino this year and closed too now.

Moldova seems to be the more active place now with rooms in Tiraspol and Pokerland relocating in Kishinev amongst other clubs already there.
