There will be 4 of us ranging from 21-23.
Any help will be appreciated, What im looking for:
- Best area of Sydney to live. (lively, young, atmosphere preferred)
I lived right by Darling Harbour, its right by the casino and there are plenty of bars and restaurants around there. However most visitors prefer to live near a beach such as Bondi, Coogee or Manley Beach. Best idea is stay in a hotel or hostel for a couple of nights and see what area you prefer.
- Helpful websites to find a place to live.
http://www.gumtree.com.au/
- Price we should be expecting to spend on rent(looking for as cheap as possible).
Somewhere between $500 and $1k each
- Anything else of note.
While you are there I highly recommend traveling to some other places in Australia. From Sydney you can go on to Brisbane and then head up the East Coast to the Great Barrier reef and the Whitsunday islands. Melbourne is probably my favourite city in Australia and if you get a chance to go there rent a car and drive the Great Ocean road. You could do all that in under 2 weeks if you wanted but its well worth it.
Thanks in advance,
Ross
Also one more thing the cost of living is real high over there due to the strong AU$ so after living in Thailand for a while be prepared for a shock, have fun !
