Hi folks,

I'm planning a trip to Australia and I've got all my accommodation settled in Brisbane and Sydney but not Melbourne. I wanna stay for a week from roughly 5th March to 11th March.

If you're a Melbourner (sp) who's got a room to rent out for a week somewhere in town, please shoot a reply here. If you've got a friend who's renting out an apartment etc. please refer as well.

If you could rent a room to crash for free I'd buy you dinner everyday or something. :0

There's always the new Melbourne Central YHA for $30/night. It's clean and a short walk to the casino.

Maybe post a bit more info; your age, where you from etc and people might be more inclined to help you imo.

Oh... I'm 19 years of age and I'm from Singapore. I'm really sociable and I love to meet new people. I'm a part-time magician so I perform for several hotels locally and I'm visiting melbourne to speak to some of the hotels there. I will be visiting Brisbane and possibly Sydney before I drop by melbourne to meet relatives and friends. I might open a show in Melbourne in the future. I am also very VERY straight.

I'd rather stay in an apartment with a 2p2er since there's that sense of 'friendship' I guess. I'd also be more comfortable with trusting someone from this site. I play poker as well of course but I only play 1k-2k hands a month as my magic work is my bread and butter. Oh I forgot to mention that I can cheat pretty well at cards due to the close relationship with magic. Bottom dealing, second dealing and card shifts are almost second nature to me.

While I'm in Melbourne I'm hoping to visit the hotels, shows and people. All the Aussies I know have told me Melbourne is THE place to go for arts.

I'd rather stay in an apartment as staying at the windsor or crown promenade would cost about 1.5k and that's too much for me. I don't wanna stay in a hostel because I'll feel uncomfortable with sharing rooms with so many folks.

So yeah like I mentioned, if you are renting a place out or are living in a rented place, let me cover your rent for a week if you can hand the whole apartment over, or.... gimme a room and I'll pay half your rent for the week.

Well folks, thanks for all the help. Someone from another poker site offered me a room for free for 4 days. I'll be staying at the crown promenade or something for the other 2. Shoot me a pm if anyone wants to meet up for a free dinner on me . I think i'll just make another thread for this.
