i haven't played on Stars since black friday, if i move to thailand and show necessary proof etc. would stars allow me to make a new account (rather than re-activating my old one)? just as a one-time acct change.
how much would a 20" monitor cost (nothing fancy), im bring a laptop over, but want a bigger screen. I been told they usually cost 50% more in Thailand then back home.
How do you avoid issues with disconnection/power cuts etc? Was gonna rent a place by myself but am I alot better off renting a room in a poker house?
Also better off buying/selling a computer setup over there for 3 months or bringing a laptop and painstakingly 6 tabling and squinting? Any other suggestions?
Really appreciate as much detail as possible and hopefully catch some of u guys next year. Good luck!

UPS for the short powercuts. Long lasting powercuts is a problem for SNG and tour players.

If you are only there for 3 months then a room in a poker house might be a better option as I think it can take about 2 weeks to get a phine and internet connection sorted. I have already been warned about using the free ADLS offered in many of the apartment blocks as people say its too slow and unreliable for poker.

If you are only going to buy a 20" monitor it's hardly worth traipsing halfway across Bangkok to save $5. You can buy them at Tesco or any IT shop anywhere. Pantip is the place to go if you need hard to find stuff though (e.g. 24" or bigger).
There is a huge IT mall at Rama 9. Each floor is dedicated to certain types of hardware. One floor is all cables, one floor all phones, one floor all computers and monitors one floor is all games. ETC...
its ratchaweai BTS station, you just hang a right on Petchaburi and walk for 5-10 minutes and you're there.. but personally I'd just go to Tesco Lotus as Mr Spiv said

Reason: some sort of 2+2 rep/vouchers would obviously be a plus if not a must
