pretty sure you can sit a monitor on your lap and get office stuff delivered free from most places.

Or just take a tuk-tuk home with the monitor. but yeah, basically all furniture shops deliver to your house. As long as you can draw them a map...

picked up a click for housemate yesterday for 3,500/month. chalong/rawai gonna be cheaper than kata/karon but it should be less than 4,000/month.

Give yourself a few days on the moped. I can balance my washing, shopping and a 24 crate of singa on mine now.

Would it really take you a month to buy a few chairs and a monitor?

Hire a car for 1 day, do all your furniture shopping in 1 day. Problem solved.

What´s a scoopy???

Anyway, I was serious about having a bike for rent, where you can pay with online$. Honda click, 3 years old, 18k km, no known issues, serviced regularly.

If you or anybody else is interested, let me know.

This is currently not the case. I used a highly recommended agent and didn't get it. Agent said the recent change in government is making it very tough to get tourist visas, you can usually get a second double visa but not more than that.

My gf and I went in and plead our case along w/ lots of documentation like rental agreement and bank statement. I ended up getting a double visa, my fourth consecutive double visa.

I'd advise following Thiavisa for the lastest news.

Hey guys,

I was wondering: how safe is phuket? Ive been looking around to plan a trip with some people, but some of them are concerned if Phuket is safe enough and they won't be killed by crazy kids with knifes for 5 bucks.

this is definitely going to happen, but 5 bucks is a little low. it will actually be closer to 15-20.

LOL

If you have to ask a question like this and decide to phrase it in this way you better stay home in Europe an don't mix with 'the rest of the world'. You aren't prepared for it. Go to Mallorca. I have heard its nice.

The most dangerous thing in Thailand is traffic. And the traffic is actually quite dangerous. They are far more likely to be killed by a drunk truck driver than anything else. Tell them to be careful near roads.

There is a place on Pattaya beach with 'big bikes' for rent. It's just a short distance from Walking Street.

I don't want to rent really big bikes like R1/gsxr as I have or tried them in the US. But I do want to try Dtracker, CBR250 and one other bike...

Is that place legit? The prices for bikes I'm interested in were 300-700/day and 3000 deposit. I don't want to get screwed on deposit. Not sure if this place is like the jet ski places or if it's legit.

Anyone know? (or can recommend another place to rent similar big bikes that are not available in the States.)

you should be fine with money deposit imo (i assume you are not leaving anything else like ID, only money?)

just take pictures of any possible damages before you drive it and dont hand them the keys back before they give you the money back

got no clue about the pattaya places though
