if you want to chill on beach, see some nice views etc you should come to phuket

I will be in Bangkok on January 24th. i plan on going to Full Moon Party on January 30th. I'm looking to meet up with someone for Full Moon Party. You can only book hotel for minimum 4 days. I'm gonna be traveling through asia next month and I plan to spend around 7-10 days in thailand. I've never been and I'm looking for suggested itineraries. I will be traveling by myself so I'm trying to find places good for solo travelers. Anything I absolutely have to see while I'm there?

depends what you are into. kind of difficult to suggest anything specific for such a short trip if you dont tell more about your interests

when people come to visit me in phuket the first days i usually show them around the island through view points and beaches. the scenery here is very nice and driving around is fun and relaxing.

after that it kind of depends what people want to do so i am not going to write a long post guessing what you might like

Fair point, I left my post vague cause I don't really know what to expect. I want to experience the culture, I want to see some outdoors stuff, and of course I want to get drunk and have fun a little. I figured I'd start in Bangkok and preferably not spend too much time traveling since I don't have that much time to begin with (maybe take one or two local flights?). I'm not sure if I should try to stay in backpacker kinda places to meet people or something nicer? Also interested in unusual food suggestions.

im looking to book some accomodation in phuket for a few days. would like somewhere that is reasonably close to the beach and nightlife (not sure if thats possible?). i found places in city centre, patong and karon. any recommendations?

also, id like to spend a few days travelling around the islands around phuket. whats the best way to do this? which islands are good? Is it easy to organise this type of stuff once im in phuket or should i be booking stuff well in advance?
