Hello everybody i have been living here in chiang mai for 4 months now and i have serious problems with internet connections. I have stayed in about 20 different hotels and apartments and everywhere i have the same problem.

I can play poker only at nights (from 02.00-09.00). Outside this time period i cant connect to ANY poker software. Near this time period (after midnight) i can connect but its too slow that i cant act in time and become "sitting out". Daytime i cant connect at all. Some softwares just freezes and some say "unable to connect" or similar ****.

This is very big problem for me because i cant play whenever i want.

Im sure many people have experienced the same so im asking if there is some ways to solve this. I have tried many proxy and VPN- ****s but cant connect with them.

Maybe this is only in chiang mai?? I think i have played poker at daytime in bangkok with no probs.

Please be culturally sensitive, the Thai army uses M-16s.

Strange, I live in Chiang Mai also and have had no problems with the internet. I mainly play in the mornings and afternoons. What site do you play on? Are you in a hotel, or do you have your own internet set up in a house or condo?

Maybe you should try getting a CAT aircard, mine works great here. I don't know why you would ever need a proxy, or vpn?

MyironThumb, can you tell me what internet service provider you have? Mine is currently Maxnet. Maybe TOT would work?

I have had this same problem about 4 months in MANY different hotels and apartments. Now im living in a hotel with monthly contract.

I'm also with TT&T maxnet, what package level do you have? I don't use my line too much though as my CAT aircard is great for grinding, but whenever I have used it it has been fine.

Just check that you are on the premier package, you should be able to play on that

check if you are on the indy package or premier. i assume you are on indy because of the problems. try changing it to premier and it should take care of the problem.

atleast in phuket there is supposed to be huge difference between the packages and it is only like 500 baht more a month

with indie package you are lucky if you get connection to pokerstars, connection to UK ip is impossible with that package too. With premier everything should work fine.

However, i was not able to post anything here after I got the premier package.
