I just wanted to share a short film that I created on a recent trip to Thailand to other future travelers.

It will hopefully help show what all the hype is about.

Truly a fine movie. I've put one together (based on chapter one of my unpublished novel) and I know how much work is involved. Mine didn't make the cut at the film festivals.
A suggestion though - for part 2 why not go from an arm's length panoramic movie to one where the nitty-gritty life in Thailand is shown? The good, bad, ugly, and beautiful.
When I was there recently I saw hill people dancing at the night market and playing an unknown instrument for a few baht, 7 or 8 year old girls selling flowers at the adult bars for 10 baht each, kids playing checkers on the sidewalk with bottle caps, incredibly beautiful women, desparate old women sitting on the sidewalk begging for money, people in wheelchairs selling lottery tickets, tourists oblivious to most of the above, very irritating touts harassing every tourist who walked by (especially at Patong), delicious food, kind people, those who clearly dislike farangs, a police officer writing up a ticket for a farang (the only ticket I saw being written there), the crazy traffic, temple ceremonies, and the list could go on for pages.
A movie showing those things and more could make it to Sundance or NatGeo.
I might take it on as a project but now I'm back in the states, trying to improve my poker game and figure out how to live in Thailand or somewhere else outside of the states. So, the project is yours.
Good movie and good luck.
