If a mamasan trying to haggle for a 20 baht tip makes you so upset that you feel the need to warn the rest of the world of the place i suggest you stick to cinemas and 9 baht icecreams on your holidays. Or even better stay true to your word and avoid thailand altogether.
Keep pointless **** like that to yourself or atleast limit it to thaivisa.

no it was some old waitress.

i gave her 20 baht on a 60 baht drink because she was so insistent about it.

fine have it. i'm having a good night. i feel good.

then she wanted an additional 20 baht and got indignant when i wouldn't leave a 40 baht tip for a 60 baht drink at a ****ty bar.

then i went to black pagoda and spent about 1500 baht on drinks in 1 hour.

DO NOT go to club electric blue. below par line up and rude staff.

How is Patpong in general? Haven't been there for years.

black pagoda was a lot of fun, although a drink was 240 baht.

patpong was worse than usual, but line ups were terrible everywhere. i have never seen the gogo line ups worse in all my time going to bangkok and this was peak season. i was arriving at the best bars during prime time.

Learned a valuable lesson today to do with girls eating papaya salad and giving blow jobs.

gogo experiences are high variance, the girls and staff change all the time. i've been club electric blue ~10 times, have sometimes experienced the same thing, just said no to the tip and she the old hag smiled as if she had been joking and walked off. ugly lineup. other times it was fine, good service, no tip asked and hot girls that must've been getting banged last time. also there are 2 lineups that alternate, one ugly one ok (but more expensive)

you can have good or bad staff in nana and cowboy too. in general club electric blue is mostly good because it's western owned. you could call the owner and explain you didn't like the service, or write on their facebook, they do take it seriously.

the law was ALWAYS 2 am, they just choose to enforce it after the coup

there are random clubs open after 2, just ask taxis

sometimes spicy is open, sometimes the club at holiday inn on soi 22, forget the name. or a random club further down 22. soi 11 and soi 23 massages open 24 hours. 'honey' club, taxis want to take you there, but it's more of a brothel lol. girls line up, they're 3k and you can get beers and stand around with other confused people who've been taken there. large place

i have probably been there at least 10 times too. never barfined from there.

generally no real lookers. getting disrespected for only tipping 20 baht on a 60 baht beer is the final straw. won't even bother stopping by for a cheap draft beer in future.

Hey guys, any reviews on Koh Chang? They're holding what looks like a really cool ultra trail run on Feb 28th and that's near perfect timing to get out of Chiang Mai for the smokey month.

Are there good options for one month accommodation and is there good coverage for just using my ipad for internet. It looks like true-move doesn't have any coverage and dtac does all along the beaches. I'd be interested in 1-2 week options also, as long as I can grind.

Happy NY and holiday season!

If I deposit 500 USD in my USD Neteller account, then deposit that in Stars, is excactly $500 going to end up in my Stars account, or is some of it going to be lost somewhere along the way?

Flying into BKK in early February for an ultimate frisbee tournament and was thinking about making use of my whole free month by then traveling a bit and flying back to Manila out of Chiang Mai... then I remembered about the whole smoke season thing. Is mid-Feb to early March a bad time to be in Chiang Mai, or is it mostly just later March and April?

I stayed there 2 nights last year and there was a power outage in the morning the first day. So probably not the best place to grind.

apparently now individual ISPs can choose to ban stuff at will, and are encouraged to http://tech.thaivisa.com/internet-thailand-censorship/

edit: oh you mean 2+2 banning people

anyone know why a flight from uk to CM is €500 and to Bangkok is only €300, why €200 in diff?
Ask us about Thailand! Quote
01-02-2015 , 04:02 PM
cause most likely you ll have some expensive flight with thai airways or some other expensive airline to CM if you book both at the same time. on the other hand you prolly wont have to change airport and rush or spend a night in bangkok, if it s your first time in thailand that might be worth it.

Where are you finding flights for 300 euro ? Seems really cheap.

Best i found so far is 400 pounds with condor unless i want to stop in multiple countries and take 24 hours to get there, which i dont
