I wouldnt book on online, but rather email them asking for to reserves or ask if they have free rooms on dates X to dates Y. When in Thailand go ahead and check the places out before you visit to ensure they are how they look like in the pictures on the website.

Some you can stay for daily rates, so maybe stay there for a day to see how good the internet is if you are going to grind

To the guy asking about Chiang Mai. Any one new to CM should stay in the old city. Thats the city center surrounded by a mold. Tons of guesthouses here with private rooms or huts starting at 150b/night. Anything u need here is pretty much within walking distance

Also not sure why no one has recommended the train from BKK. Sure its slow and always 4 hours late but its really an experience in itself. Has a dining/bar car, very nice scenery to look at and smokers can just pry open a door anywhere and light up. People pretty much stay in their seats so doesn't feel crowded walking around. Beds are nice and clean. Train is old and noisy on certain stretches but Ive slept great every time and will go again.
So even for people on shorter trips and tight schedule this would be good time to chill and catch up on some sleep, if u been partying it up in Bkk for a few days. Price is very fair and u save a nights accomodation. No need to go 1st class imo. Powerfull AC so keep some warm clothes handy if u got em.

**** sitting on a bus (even vip) for 12 hours.. Then add the dangers of thai traffic and ur driver pounding redbulls all night. Flights are much faster but who wants to go to ****ing airports unless its absolutely necessary. Not me bitch!



Rayong has nice beaches with good cheap food and drink. Sitting on mats with cool lighting and baby elefants walking by. Its surrounded by industrial areas tho, so waters no clean. Has one long street with bars near the beach. Anything from hiso clubs to biker bars. Didn't see much of the city center as we stayed on the beach which is about 10km away.
Also had some really dirt poor areas mixed in around the beach "touristy" (not falang, but thais from god knows where?) area with packs of wild dogs and drunk people shouting as i walked by (by mistake once, not twice!).
Worth a visit but nothing special to stick around for imo.
