I luckily fled Songkran to Singapore where such nonsense is frowned upon. Actually, after seeing Asian people in an orderly fashion and being able to speak English, Thailand sure looks like a third world ****hole. A ****hole with a lot of whores, but still a ****hole. I am always amazed how no Thais give a **** how ugly their city is. Some places in Bangkok look like what I imagine Bangladesh to look like.

Might actually move to Singapore. Can always pop back to Bangkok in the weekends and only 2 hour flight.

try living in Singapore for more then 3 weeks and see how bored you get. (ingorant comment as ive never been to Singapore but I have done research on on like ebbfs did on thailand so im qualified to say that)

Also Bangladesh is 1000% worse then bkk in terms of cleanness. They pick up the rubbish every night in BKK, in Bangladesh they dont even have a system, so the rubbish will just stay there. I think Bangkok is very clean for the most part, the buildings may look old and beaten down nd the streets crooked and uneven, but the actual streets are very clean, I dont see any litter on the floor expect for designated piles of rubbish which will get picked up at night.

adapter doesnt change the voltage, its just makes the connection possible. so, whether or not you use the adapter, its going to be the same 220v. Its hard to find any electronics that cant handle it, so doubtful that i whats buggering your phone..

Fast, think it was around 1/2000th of a second. Call me crazy but I just wrapped up the camera and lens in a plastic bag and used rubber bands and duct tape to hold it together, with the front element of the lens exposed and wandered around. Lost one lens yesterday to water damage, gonna have to do a better job today of protecting it.

yesterday i somehow got involved on riding around on a motorbike dropping off huge ice blocks to people, i saw them trying to lift one and went over and helped and they gave me beer so we just kept it up, i honestly enjoy getting hit with ice water more than the piss warm stuff, its easier to lie to myself about just how nasty the water is, over by the moat in CM i got hit with a bucket with my mouth open and literally tasted ****

bien rhien?

I've been to Bangladesh and I can tell you that no soi in BKK looks like Bangladesh.

Actually, last time I remember arriving in Bangkok from New Delhi (which is a lot better than Dhaka) and I felt like I was back in the USA in Bangkok. I kept thinking how clean, orderly, modern, and quiet Bangkok was. haha

I've never been to Singapore, but it seems mad expensive to have a decent condo there, and let's not forget that they cane and fine people for stupid things. *** that.

And another thing! All of my regs are out playing water, rather than coming to suck my ****. So i have to sit and wait to see what one texts first after finishing playing water. I might just fire up redtube and keep the 1k baht myself. That will show them, SHOW EVERYBODY!!!

If it wasn't for a really important b'day meal i have to attend on the 17th id be in bkk already. Pattaya is ****ing ****!

miami hotel on soi 13 is where I stayed based on recommendation here. 1k baht with pool. I think there's a holiday inn on soi 8 or 9 that is 650, about the same quality but further up the soi.

The unit is hooked up for high-speed internet, it just needs to be turned on by the ISP. The gym is solid with an array of of machines and free weights and the pool is something you’d see in a luxury hotel.

Location is probably the best thing about the condo. The building is on a quiet soi but you’re a five minute walk away from BTS Asok or Nana. Sukumvit 11 is only two minutes and is a hotspot for shopping and partying. You have Villa Market, countless pubs, Q Bar, massages, and almost anything else you would want practically at your doorstep.

He’s looking for 50k per month and is not interested in short-term stays. Similar units in the building have rented for 55-60k. He isn’t a 2+2er but he does enjoy poker as a hobby and would be willing to accept rent via one of the networks he has an account on. Paypal is also ok with him.

If you have any questions or would be interested in viewing the condo, PM me and I’ll put you in touch with my friend. Some more pictures can be found here.
Hey guys. I finally rented this to a very lucky friend of a 2+2er for 18k/month.

I've been trying to sell it for about two years for 6.95 Million THB and couldn't find a buyer. I found a house in the USA I want to buy and need the cash to do it, so I've decided to fire sale it. I've dropped the price to 5 Million THB and I expect it to sell at that price really quickly.

If any of you ballers wants an awesome condo in Bangkok, let me know. The current lease runs through July. He wants to renew for another year at 20k. The new owner can decide if they want to accept that or find a new tenant for more or move in themselves. Once you see the place I'm sure you'll agree 20k/month is well below market rate - as is 5 Million THB to buy it.

You can PM me or post here with any questions or to arrange a viewing.

yeah i remember when you posted that everyone laughed at you for wanting 50k/month for it, and they were right. 20k is not 'well below' what it should be either imo. i'd say 25k

36sqm studio units at Trendy are 15k on prakard so 18k/month for 72sqm is a steal. The rent for that unit should be 30k more or less.

Sale price also seems very good after doing some cursory research but Bangkok condos seem like terrible investments overall given very low cap rates.

25k, 30k... but not 50k

there are 2 bdrm 91 sqm units for 35k

In retrospect, 50k was definitely too ambitious. I paid 33.5k from 2009-2010 for a unit not nearly as nice in the same building, so that was my frame of reference. Perhaps I overpaid and perhaps rental prices have come down since then and perhaps this forum has a lot of the sorts of farang who would make fun of you for paying more than 800 Baht for long time - or perhaps a bit of all of those.

In any event, if you think it's worth 25k/month with the information you have now, if you actually saw it, I'd be willing to bet you'd raise that to at least 30k. It's gorgeous and by far the best 1br I've seen in Trendy.
