You can get water out of the filtration machines so you don't have to carry such an amount from the store.

that other place (Apus i think) is $600 a month for the cheapest?

ive heard you can get decent furnished places in pattaya for $250-$300, you looked at anything in that price range?
I had a friend who payed 10,000 Baht per month here:

http://www.expat-condos.com/view-talay-1-condos.html

Although it was a year ago (prices have gone up a little), you could probably find something decent not on the Baht bus route.

I have a question about internet in Thailand, Phuket.

Do any hotels have a decent wifi in order to grind? I don't think so. So what's the best option for a grinder who wants to spend 14 days in Thailand? I have a InterSim card for tourists. Do you think if I connect my phone to laptop it should be enough to play?

should be but it really is a hit or miss, depends hugely on the exact location you end up.

imo grind those 14 days in beforehand and take 2 weeks off. not sure why you are only coming here for 2 weeks to grind

if you insist grinding, no other choice than to try the connection... :/

Have you checked out http://ktkpattaya.com/? I stayed there 3 months this year and it was pretty solid.

Only other place I've stayed in Pattaya is Amari Nova Suites which I also recommend. 1 month in their 1 bedrooms costs about 70k including electricity so it's a bit pricy though, but imo it's a great hotel and their rooms are very stylish.

I have a question regarding brushing your teeth with regular tap water?
How safe is it? Anyone actually get sick from this before?
I know some ppl recommend bottled water...

I always use regular tap water to brush my teeth, and I was gonna post that it's totally fine, then I remembered that I get sick all the time when in Thailand, so chances are I have no idea what I'm talking about :P

So I moved into a place a couple blocks away (much cheaper, no pool/gym) but great value while I keep looking around and month to month with only 1 month deposit.

I was being a nit really Apus and that area is in my favorite area range, i just prefer being the around soi a.r which is just over third road from where you are. It is worth taking a look down here if you want cheap accommodation the kinda thing that K2 would want. There is also Mind Serviced Apartments, (which im looking at today) kinda Apus style so i guess apus prices too, not sure about contracts yet.

Also try checking out PKCP Condo, its the massive tower at the back of Big C. I lived there before and posted pics in this thread of the rooms, good value, nice pool, meh gym, laundry and restos on the door step, and walking distance to big C. In fact i'll look there too to see whats available.

Feel free to PM me if you have q's you dont feel are post worthy.

Anyone know where I can find a huge collection of 2000-2012 asian movies for sale (Japanese and Korean is what im mostly looking for)? Most central don't have enough of tham. Like right now I am looking for some of Hayao Miyazaki animated work, but cant find it anywhere. Is there a place in Bangkok where they sell a tons of asian movies for *movie addict* like me?

I live in Bang Sue but I dont mind going anywhere in BKK if the place is good!

Thx!

What kind of trip is that.

well i bought the 40 trips for 840 bhat, so this means anywere I go the trip will cost me 21baht on average.

but once you get past on nut, you have to pay a flat 15 bhat fee to which ever of the other stations you go after that.

there is also a prepaid BTS card that deduts the amount per trip for each individual trip, a better idea for those going 1 or 2 stops.
