Rabies is one of the vaccines where it's kinda a close decision...

It is expensive, and the point of the vaccine is to delay your death, not help prevent it or mitigate symptoms. Instead of ~48 hours, you have ~5 days to get to the hospital and seek proper treatment (or whatever the exact time frames are.) This would be pretty important if you are trekking through remote regions, for example, but if you're just going to the cities, I'm not sure there is a substantial benefit.

But...

Thailand is #1 in rabies and it's not even close. They are waaaay ahead of #2 country. So if you're gonna do it, Thailand is a good reason. I think most people pass on this one...

Really? Where did you get that from? I have no knowledge of the incidence of it there but I would have thought that bigger ****hole countries like Phils, India etc would have been worse.

That's what I thought about each time after paying $20 for tiny containers of various berries.

It's labor intensive but not land intensive and it's not disgusting like most farm work. Could even be pleasant to have your own berries farm, actually.

Plan is:
-create million dollar farm
-lose it to your 51% partner or wife since foreigners can't be in farming industry
-profit?

I'm not a farm expert, but I think the climate would be an issue. Perhaps Spiv can weigh in on this.

I know of someone who has done that, not a direct friend just someone I met through a friend. Think he still has 2 years to go until the crop starts to yield, at least he's got a good sweat to see if he gets any money back before he gets dumped.

The best business is the bar buiness. I mean I know lots of people who after their first trip decided to get in the bar business. These people were entrepreneurs and certainly saw the opportunity...

someone should raise free range grass fed cattle here. I think berries are so expensive because they don't grow in these climates and have to be imported, except for ****ty strawberries and the local berries (mulberry?)

and whoever was talking about caffeine pills, just order them online, there are sites that do $4 shipping here and have everything from supplements to condoms, I buy a ton of stuff online as its cheaper than in the stores here for a lot of stuff.

Rubber plantations is a very solid investment. As long as you dont get scammed, since you cant have it in your own name.....
