Next up is cost: I read that chaweng is actually more expensive than lamai, how true is this in terms of lodging, food and nightlife? I assume the supermarkets will be priced the same.
Massage places with happy endings? I assume both places have a ton of these places? What about regular massages I assume both have plenty?
Freelancers: I assume both have plenty? I read that thailand has part-time freelancers that work daytime jobs but still are available for some fun, is this true for koh samui too?
Then just regular thai girls: Which place is better lamai or chaweng? If I were to day game, like waitresses, supermarkets, bars etc etc, I guess both have plenty of options?
Also beaches: Which place do you rate for the better beach(es)?
Thanks guys! Lets ****ing go, can't wait!!!
1. Age - Chaweng slightly younger and Lamai slightly older, but its not as if Chaweng is all 18-30 crowd and Lamai is retirees.
2. Cost - you shouldnt notice any different on anything. Once you stay here you will know where to get value in either place.
3. Massage - load of normal and happy massages available in both areas.
4. Freelancers - more choice in Chaweng. Green Mango club is the place for most freelancers. Or of course online with Tinder and Badoo.
5. Regular girls - both
6. Beach - Lamai beach is a lot nicer and more quiet than Chaweng beach. There are 2 very nice beaches halfway between Lamai and Chaweng -
Coral Cove and Crystal Bay. However for better beaches head further out, Maenam, Bangrak, Thong Krut, Lipa Noi, Ban Tai, Bang Por.
I live in Chaweng. Chaweng is a bit of a dump, but its where my life is centered, so I stay here. But I'd advise coming here, talking a room for 1 month, then seeing which you like best. There is no right or wrong between the 2, only personal preference.
p.s. Hit me up for motorbike rental when you arrive, thats my business here
