What I do wonder is why is that even a valid test? Having xtc in your urine could mean you took it days ago outside of Thailand. Would they even convict you?
this is Thailand....you know??

Finally got around to trying this place today. The chicken was ok not as good of quality as Bonchon though. The fact that its all you can eat makes it good value if you can put back alot of wings. The coke was a major rip off like 90 baht each. Its cool you can order each 6 wings with a diff sauce each time but I thought most the sauces sucked. There hot wasnt that hot but it was the best of the 8 flavors tried.

I think by time its all said in done I still prefer bonchon. I spend about the same and get full but not sickly full cause I feel I have to get my moneys worth. Still a good place to add to the roster. Think on Fridays for like 400-500baht it said they have all you can drink beer from like 5-9. That could be good value if you like to get hammered. Anyways thanks for the reccomendation.

Also on Saturday night went to the top Burger place from PE's blog 'Shuffle". This was the best burger I've had in Thailand so far. The burger was like 350 baht with bacon. The bacon didnt suck balls like most bacon in Thailand either. If your looking for a burger this place is the spot .

High consumption of HFCS is pretty much an American thing, because corn farmers are subsidised. Most of the rest of the world just uses sugar.

I haven't looked at the label of Thai Gatorade to see where it's bottled or whether or not it uses HFCS but it wouldn't surprise me at all if you are wrong. Because you are wrong about so many things.
As I would expect you've missed the point entirely.

You can replace "HFCS" with "sucrose" in my post and the entire message has the same meaning. The sugar isn't even the important part for re-hydration, it's the ratio of electrolytes (especially potassium to sodium) and the presence of extra healthy minerals and electrolytes. Coconut water is 6:2.5 potassium:sodium. Gatorade is 3:1.4 sodiumotassim. Why? Because sodium chloride (table salt) is dirt cheap, potassium salts not as cheap. Big businesses are concerned about making things as cheap as possible, palm trees don't worry about profit. They just make a solution so perfect you can actually inject coconut water directly into your veins to re-hydrate yourself (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10674546). Please, Spiv, inject Gatorade directly into your veins next time you're seriously dehydrated. I don't expect you'll be reporting back after though.

Most people are deficient in potassium not sodium, which is why coconut water or citrus in water are both far superior to Gatorade. In fact most people have too much sodium from salted food, making the high ratio of sodium in Gatorade actually unhealthy. Notice I also recommended water+citrus+pinch of salt (limes are 283:5 Potassim:Sodium and you get over 140mg of potassium from 1/2 a cup of lime juice). There is no sugar at all in the combination. Sugar was not the point. I just assumed you realized electrolyte ratios are the most important consideration when re-hydrating. I mean you were giving health advice on here, so I guessed you at least had a basic level of understanding.

Even what Pooter suggested was probably a much better idea than Gatorade. Those re-hydration packs are less gimmicky than "sports drinks" and usually contain a better ratio of potassium:sodium and less sugar. Plus you can get re-hydration crystals without food colouring and artificial flavours (both proven to have adverse health affects....although again...that's not the main point). I'm not familiar with the exact brand he uses, but again....that's not the point.

The rest is just gravy.
(1) Why would you choose table sugar when you could have natural sugar (no impurities from refining, no impurities from the plastic bottle)?
(2) Why would you choose water with dissolved salt and food coloring when you could have a substantially better ratio of potassium to sodium as well as some Iron, Magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, manganese and selenium in highly bio-available chelates?
(3) Why would you choose to NOT have the extra antioxidants, vitamins and other beneficial natural compounds known to be in coconut water?
(4) Why would you choose to pay substantially more money for the clearly inferior Gatorade. A 20-30baht coconut yields 400-600ml of pure electrolyte solution?

Also for fun please give me just one or two examples of the times I was wrong. I challenge you on this not because I'm arrogant, but because you go to far as to say I'm wrong "so many times." I can only remember pwning you hard every time. Reason is you're a google professor and forum troll that loves to spew out info you have little real in depth understanding of. When I call you out it's always when I'm certain I know what I'm talking about.

The answer to all 4 questions is because I'm not a hipster food freak who has to get out an encyclopedia every time I eat something.

Also, coconut milk tastes like crap and I couldn't think of anything more obviously farang kee nok than driving down to the market to buy a ****ing coconut to drink. Even Thais find it embarrassingly cliched. Do you get your hair braided and get a Henna tattoo while you're there?

Sway is owned by canadians, so they serve poutine. Obv not as good as in Montreal, but still decent.

Money talk is back and I'll make this short and sweet, anyone in UK or anyone in general what is most +ev way to do it from Stars? Last time I came for 6 months and used a combination of getting bent over by my skrill card and uk debit card withdrawing from atms.

Looking to find a better way and so far I've found that getting a Halifax clarity credit card and testing that out might be a better way. Also not sure if other countries/clients have this but have you guy heard/tried this out - http://www.pokerstars.uk/starscard/

Stars to Skrill (in EUR if you can), Skrill to a Thai bank account.

From the UK. ATM I just cash out everything online to my UK bank account. I have a UK debit card (RBS group) and an international currency card called caxton. Caxton is handy because I can take out money in any country I guess at the same rate, don't even really know.

Caxton has a 10k limit from what I've seen and my debit card has a 20k limit. I just take out 30 at a time and forget about. The only reason I'd get a Thai bank account would be to take out large amounts at a time.

I must be a ******, after so long receiving my card first and then the cash I seem to just leave my atm in the card quite often, which sucks.

Paid £422.68 for my last 20k withdrawl on uk debit card.

FWIW I calculated the difference between XE rate and what Kbank gave me for a cashout from Party, it was about 0.75%
