first of all, just because an argument contains an ad hominem doesn't mean all of it is false or even faulty. for example, if i say "the sky is blue while gson catches STDs from ladyboys he picks up on hooker hill" that doesn't mean the sky isn't blue. if i said "the sky is blue BECAUSE gson catches STDs from ladyboys he picks up on hooker hill" that statement would be logically unsound not because of the ad hominem but because the sky is obviously blue for other reasons (false causation).

also lol i am totally fine with people criticizing the US i am pretty far out there on the left and i like reading noam chomsky (don't hate i don't want to have any more political discussion in this thread). my rage isn't "latent" (it's totally open) nor it is about people criticizing the US. what i am not cool with people spewing totally ******ed BS and i'm happy to skewer them for that.

phone stuff -- went to a sk telecom store, took me an hour, you cannot get a prepaid sim with data unless you have a korean person sign you up, they need a korean id # thing. You can get a prepaid phone #, just no data.

can you get a decent rental phone that's prepaid? i have a korean burner phone that i can load with minutes in itaewon, but it's pretty crappy (literally just texts and makes phone calls; maybe has a ****ty camera dont remember)...so if i'm stuck with that i'll end up carrying my dataless iphone around with me anyway for kakau/mp3s/not dying of boredom. rather just have one phone obv.
