LOL, that's funny. Sorry, it's not really funny, but I can sympathize. When I was near Cebu City, the power would go out about once a month. Sometimes it was a scheduled outage because they didn't have enough power to go around.

I quit playing SNGs (I played them for most of my living between 2003 and 2008) and converted to cash games due to one outage. I was playing four high-dollar (for me) satellites and BOOM out goes the power.

I had a short-life backup battery (was using a desktop). and one definite cash, two "sure" cashes, and one hopeful cash went up in smoke. All had only one to three players left to be eliminated and I had great chip position or better in three of them.

Sorry, that's my bad beat story.

It turned out to be a good thing, as cash is much more engaging and there is a lot more to learn.

Grand reagal was the second place but I heard it is closed now, though haven't been there after new year. The other one and still running is Metro, they have daily tournaments and 20/20 and 25/50 daily and like once of week a bigger game. Haha, in the city where I stayed, there was an 80+year old man who wore bright pinks JEANS. One of my homophobic 'acquaintances' always got mad when he saw the guy and talked about how gay he was.

Filipinos don't think so much about "bright green shorts and matching polo". However, if you wear a tank top you will likely be considered a "dirty American." (No matter that you are not American, LOL) Not as critical, but shorts should also come down to your knee or lower. (That's a dress code I break...I hate long athletic shorts.)
