Anyone to ask about living in the Philippines? - Page 259

What are possibilities for online shopping in Philippines and delivery to door? Links of decent/truthful online shops.

Is there going to be additional taxes if ordering through amazon.com?

Haven't ordered anything online in PI webshops (yet), the market is still quite small, but there are some.

Ordered from Amazon a few times, and usually they pre-calculate the taxes for certain products so you'll pay it advance, which is quite nice (so that you wont get screwed on the taxes afterwards). This only applies to some categories though I think. And also, some items aren't allowed to be shipped to PI for some reason.. Amazon will give an error on those products when you try to buy them I think.

Other than that it was very smooth, think it took like 5 days from US to my door in PI with the express delivery.

Philippines is so nice. been there twice. I like to eat the chickens in the rotten eggs lol. Cheap bitches, a conglomeration of nations there. Basically a good place to live if you like bitches and weed lol

How do you explain to your filipina why you play poker?
I just got home after 10 hours live and now she is mad, She just dont understand it isnt like betting on cockfighting or playing roulette.
Now im ****ing mad because she is mad...
She is not dumb or anything but she just doesnt understand, when ive dated western girls they usually understand after a couple of weeks, and even if they still think its a game of luck they sees you are winning so they let you play.
Cant say "this is what ****ing pays your food" because she pays for herself.

If anyone can tell me about the living situation in Cebu, I went through this thread a little, but would luv to get cliffs on :

-the live poker games, including buyins and softness
-hotel or apartment prices
-accessibility to the beach
-night life
-just quality of life in general
