Sorry, stealmunk, another stone cold nut hand. :-)

Day 2 ME, table is very tight. I have 100K. Blind 400/800/100 ? I limp UTG with AK, Glen Cozen (a weak tight but very tricky old player, who had finished WSOP ME 2nd place 10 years ago) limp from CO. Button is a weak asian player who only plays big suited face cards or mid+ pp, limps. Shawn Shiekhan completes SB, Johhny Chan checks BB. 4.8K pot.

Flop AKA.

I check, Glen Cozen bet 2K, button calls 2K. Blinds folded. I call. 11K pot.

The other two players both have 60K behind. Turn 6d. I?

Cozen and button's stacks?

Jesus talk about a perfect storm here: limp UTG with AK, get a billion callers, and flop the nizzies. I pretty much hate you. lol

doesn't stone cold nut mean unbeatable? watch out for royal flush and quad 6s. bet.

i don't think a weak-tight old player, even a tricky one, would be leading w/o an A here, and the 6 could be like that perfect card for u. he could have lead w/ a mid-weak A on flop for 2k here, and maybe filled? it checks to u i like betting like 7.5k-8k? i mean checking couldn't be horrible but i think u lose value with a check. they check behind u way too much imo.

Depending on you image I like a 3Kish bet here to look like a blocking bet (hoping to get 2 calls or raised) I think something small like this is your best chance of getting some money in the pot as I think there is a great chance the old boy will check his Ace and the other guy will check his straight/flush draw.

You don't need to worry about monsters under the bed. i think one of those guys will bet. I like continuing to play this passively, let them bet for you and call. plan to check - raise the river unless it checks around the turn or a club or straight card comes on the river - then lead.

How late in Level 10 was this? I was on the table in Seat 7 for the last hour ... I'm just trying to remember if I saw you pull this one down ... I remember you winning a couple of hands. If I remember correctly, you didn't get any action on the turn bet, did you?

you badly need to make this like 7K on the flop so they both peel their FD's/Ax.

but since you didn't, lead like 4K and get max value from everything/hope to get raised by AJ.

You were on Willie Tan's seat. Your KQ busted Brian's KJ on King high flop.

As for this hand, I led out 5K on the turn, Glen Cozen thought for about 4-5 minutes, either raise or fold, I was pretty sure he had an Ace and the button had FD. Once Glen came in, the button would come in. Finally, they both folded. I was so disappointed.

Glen and the button (Wilson Song) were both LA local weak players, against them I should have c/r the flop or be an invisible utg by checking/minraise the turn, and bet/shove a good river card. Somehow, I misread Glen since he made a 2nd place at WSOP ME before, I expect him to raise my turn bet most of the time. Playing against fish is different than playing against strong players.

Yeah, I think not raising the flop is pretty criminal, they can't ever expect to be drawing dead and should be peeling with a bunch of hands.
